* Welcome to the ultra sim experience! *
* We are the "true" sim experience! *
We have a full year long tour, with ONLY real courses. We have 4 majors per season, a tour finals, plus "minor" and "big" events, all with different season points available, plus a cheeky little euro swing to ensure we get all the best courses from real life and the game into our season for players to enjoy. We are also going to be introducing some matchplay and team play type events within our season.
We are a friendly "honour" based society that requires users' honesty in applying some of our rules. (As they can't be inputted into the game.)
We now have our own dedicated forum! Here: ultra-sim-experience.proboards.com
But will be checking back here regularly for updates, managing join requests (you must request here first,) and answering any questions.
Below is our admin Anders' more detailed explanation, including what the rules are and why we have them.

Ultra Sim Experience is an ongoing online competition on The Golf Club 2019 with the goal of simulating the real game of golf as close as possible.
All platforms PC, PS4, XBox. To join the Ultra Sim Experience you need to post a message on this forum where you state your gamer-tag in TGC 2019 and what platform you play on. You must also request membership on the online society for your platform. For PC users it is "Ultra Sim Experience" that is the correct one.
Ultra Sim Experience has one tournament each week with 4 rounds from sunday to saturday. We play only real courses. To achieve the best simulation, all aids are turned off. That means: no scout cam, no green grid, no lie grid, no putting marker and no precise wind reading. All these settings are set by the admin that create the game in the society. But you must also do some changes: Turn off follow cam before you start. Never use the loft box for any reason (including fade and draw). If you want to play with ghost balls, you must have turnbased marked in the game. Master or Pro clubs.
The reason for not using follow cam and out-of-turn ghost balls are that they provide unrealistic aids in green-reading and lie. You will not get this view in real life, so we turn them off. If you had a fantastic shot and want to see the replay - that is perfectly fine on the next hole tee. But make your putt before the replay so you don't get that unrealistic reading aid and watch the replay as many times as you like. Some even record it and post videos of hole-in-ones.
So how do we have distance control without the loft box? In golf, we use partial shots to control distance. Adjusting stance and clubface is unrealistic. That means that you need to practice different backswing length (like 95%, 90%, 85%). This is true for all shots in golf from the full shots to the short game.
Unfortunatly the game has provided some unrealistic gameplay with swing-tempo adjusting distance. Any slow or fast downswing will increase distance and slow backswing tempo will decrease distance. You may not use an intentional slow backswing to control distance.
To achieve a fade or draw you must practice a fast and slow downswing. Reading greens require practice as in real life. The approach and putting cam is on and it is highly adviced to use this to read the greens on the short game with flop shots, chip shots and putting. One last rule is that it is not allowed to chip out of bunkers. The reason for this is that it is unrealistic and very hard to do in real life on sand. The game does not provide explosive bunker shots, so we use flop shots from greenside bunkers.

How do you make sure people are following all the rules? I mean if a player use the loft box in his round, the follow cam, etc... how can you know it to apply penalties? Just curious, I won't play this tour.

How do you make sure people are following all the rules? I mean if a player use the loft box in his round, the follow cam, etc... how can you know it to apply penalties? Just curious, I won't play this tour. As explained in our long posts, it's an honour system. We rely on honesty, and are very confident most, if not all, are obeying the rules. The main reason we know this is that we're a small society, everybody knows each other, and the main reason people join is that they want to play the game in the most realistic way possible. Joining and then not doing this is fairly pointless, there are other societies where you don't need to apply all our specific rules. Thanks for your interest

If you want to play in a society where people call penalties on themselves, other players say it's ok, don't apply the penalty, and then the person insists the penalty should be applied, come and join us!
