I'm going back and forth whether I want to add tournament objects and crowds to my course. It is set up for a more private club experience but could handle these additions, I just hate the look of empty stands.
What are your thoughts on this stuff?
I know I could publish two versions but I'm not really into that idea either.
For the next TGC, I would love if stands, tv towers, and tents were only visible in societies like crowds are. So they are either full of people or they don't exist. Just my thoughts

I have never once used them. I see their appeal, but I hate them on my golf course. Had I competed in the Major Course Design Contest, that would have been the first time.

I'd suggest its two different courses unless you are working under the brief of creating a tournament track. I agree that empty stands leave a hollow feeling

Thanks guys. I’ll probably publish without and add a tour version if people want it.
Maybe that’s an idea for my next course. A true championship venue. Not really my style but gotta go outside the comfort zone to improve.

I didnt want to put stands on the beachcomber as i thought it would ruin the vibe i was going for. I just put crowds on areas of grass so you can still get the tournament feel if you want it.

Didn't touch them with a bargepole on TGC2 as no crowds ever sat in the stands. I put them on every course on TGC2019.
