Interesting design style but definitely not for me. Not even going to play my 2nd round even if i could make the cut. probably should've just taken the week off, good luck everyone there are definitely plenty of birdies out there I do find it interesting that you acknowledge there are decent birdie chances but don't want to go after them. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the challenge this week.

There are a few birdie chances on this one... not a single one on the longer par 4s because of pins but there are a few gettable holes. It’s trudging thru the rest of the frustrating holes that’s the problem.

-13 after 36, enough to get me thru to the weekend, but got caught out with a few of those slopes thinking i.d played a good approach only to see my ball run off the green, very nice course to play pity about those tricky bit, but it is what it is, it,s what keeps us goming back for more.

After an E 2nd round I’m on the current cut line of -6 and grudgingly played the last 2 rounds just in case. Shot -1 and -10. Interesting course and has a lot of potential but those greens and pin placements just suck all the joy out of it for me.

-7 at the cut for me! 1st round -4 to start and then a terrible 2nd round!!! Started birdie, hole in 1, birdie, birdie and then it started to crumble! Was -6 on the front 9 but struggled home finishing -3! The course itself I really enjoyed....if you really took the time to think about it there were some great shortcuts to be taken. Great idea regarding the continuous fairways also 👍 the greens for me weren't too bad, they were just sculpted in a way that punishes a bad shot which is fair enough in my eyes. Didn't play well but enjoyed struggling round this challenging course

One of the reasons this course was picked was because of the greens and pin positions. It was to challenge approach play and the reading of the greens from distance. We are in the pro tours here and all aspects of the game need to be mastered to succeed. I failed this week but that was down to putting, you just cannot miss a bunch of ten foot and under putts and expect to climb the leaderboards. There are people shooting 11,12,13 under this week because they are playing the course well, the scores are there, ye guys have to take them. I would highly recommend watching people like Z3NZ Adam Lynch on twitch, he streams all his web rounds, he talks his way through the round, plans each shot carefully and if he hits it straight with perfect tempo, more often than not, the shots end up where he planned them to go, and that includes courses like this weeks course. It’s a great way to learn course management. This weeks course was more than deserving of a tour spot and I am happy with the way it played, now if only I could say the same for the way I played.

Thank you for the kind words hmammoth as well as the twitch plug. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that coming from you. Safe to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the course this week. Really liked the continuous fairway design to allow for multiple landing areas off the tee. However, my favorite aspect was the challenging approach shots. Yes, there were a few holes that were pretty straightforward that you needed to take advantage of, but my favorite were the holes that required me to really think about the best place to land the ball or the best putt to leave myself. Definitely my best showing so far on the web and it may even lead to my first trophy if we're lucky. R1: -8 R2: -13 R3: -6 R4: -8 Total: -35 The 3rd round 65 may cost me in the end, but hopefully the 58 in the second round is enough to compensate for it. As always, I appreciate everyone who stopped by the stream. Already looking forward to next week's tourney.

I played 2 practice rounds last night- I thought the course was a good choice Dan. Almost all of the pin locations were in fair locations (After judging soo many rounds for US Open design contest- I may be jaded here). I found the biggest challenge was in not getting too aggressive on the longer birdie putts on those 181 greens. My 2 or 3 mistakes (cost me about 5 shots) were 20' putts that trickled by the hole and ended up 45' away. I forgot I had dinner plans tonight- so I may be up against the deadline- but I'm looking forward to this one. Solid choice.

Now I'm sure it just wasn't meant to be. I mean a lob wedge chip from the fairway, lofted even, always has some spin normally and on hole 17 it didn't and it just ran off the green. Thank you game.

Thanks for the feedback guys and girls. Both the positive and negative will be taken on board and hopefully my next course will be better for it.
One thing I have found interesting watching all the streams is how few people are making the most of the shortcuts. There are more out there than you think. They may not shorten the hole but they may offer a better angle to the scary pins than just gripping and ripping.
