I thought this game was for fun. Horrible field, with even worse greens. In almost 3 years of TGCTours, I have never had such displeasure in playing a tournament. That’s more like it!!! Only took 4 pages!

I like the test! Kudos to the designer. Swimming along in round 1 with a -4 on the front. A couple of adrenaline induced fast backswings in the middle of the back cost me a bogie and forced some scrambling. -5 for the round. Now, if I can prevent another 2nd round meltdown like last week, and the week before that, and the week before that, and the...you get it, maybe I can play for the weekend. Good luck all, except for the, nah, I'm too nice. Good luck to the flickers too.

WOW...played a practice round on round 2 pins with medium winds...I could only manage -1...I had some near misses, that would have made me -4, but man is that tough. Think I'll be sliding down the leader board going forward. I really do love this course though. Par feels like a chore on most holes and to me that's perfect conditions for this Major

Having played a practice round on pin 1 with official settings - which is next to nothing since wind is low - I’m struggling to figure out how anything more than -5 is possible. I mean, I hit a few tough approach shots on the dot and the ball just kept rolling til it was off the green. Kudos to y’all who have figured it out, I’m clearly missing something.

Happy enough with 8 under for R1. The only disappointment was a par on the par 5 17th, hit a perfect flop but nothing was holding that ball on the green. Highlight was a 25 foot birdie putt over one of those buried elephants. Trickiest pins I've played in a while, some of them only accessible via grappling hook.

Course is beautiful...and tough as the shitttt on my shoe i stood in around 20 years ago.
Its the US Open, it should be bloody hard, but i kind of gave up the ghost when hitting almost perfect approaches within 6/8 feet of the pin only for the severe slopes near every pin to have it roll 50 feet away and/or off the green...every...single...time.
Nothing wrong with tough, for this tourney especially but for me, and only an honest opinion...it was just a little overdone.

I hit the pin a few times to get a few tap in birdies... in fact I almost started 2, 1 on the first two holes... but birdies require playing away from the pin and making putts or chips.

Bejesus, that 2nd round is kinda relentless No doubles, so pretty happy with a hard fought -2. Sitting -6 at the halfway stage - thinking that probably makes the cut... lots of people are gonna lose their sh%$ on this one at some point.

I don’t mind tough greens or tight fairways but when you combine them a 60% rough it turns a bad hole into a tourney killer. The high of a decent round can drastically swing on you, enjoy it while you can.

Free tip (as if i am qualified to dole them out) but if you're attacking any more than 6 pins a round - you're doing it wrong

In all seriousness I am astounded and amazed by the quality of play from this field.
