I don’t play in any societies under Chris’ rule, so I should be ok... plus, I pass the API every week, and that’s what he bans people for (or at least he did a few weeks back), so I should be double fine... right? I think if you fail API you can still be in good standing? That’s the rumor at least.

We suspend for failing the api. Get unbanned once u pass frequently. I had to suspend an Aussie recently who I play with most days. Most society’s have jumped on board n doing the same. The amount of messages I get bout my game play n style. Last guy got banned for posting on our society where it says no negative posting or u will be banned. Simple really

FYI, Garry Woodland chips on the green on 17 from 80ish feet away. It would have broke towards the right to start then to the left as it crested the hill. On TGC this would have been really close to the rule "clear path to the hole" rule. I saw Phil make a similar chip earlier in the week so the pros do chip sometimes when they feel it is the better shot. The announcer said it was just on the green but here it looks fringe? Well played either way.

If you saw Koepka putt earlier in the week from a similar area, then that chip is totally legal for TGCT - as the putt breaks MILES to the left, and therefore he'd have had to hit it well off the (back of the) green to get it close.
Where's Bob with his dead horse GIF when you need him?

It was close, Rob. As I said the putt initially goes right to start, then breaks heavily left. I agree that THIS one would probably have to go through some fringe but my point is that through four rounds, several players chipped from the green when on the lower tiers. Some had fringe in their way, some didn't. It was simply the easier shot.
