I actually just figured out how I can get the percent of tour worthy courses that are on tour (or were on tour at some point) without taking too much time. If anyone is interested to know, stay tuned while I get the numbers

Just did the math: This is from the Course Designer List on TGC Tours using the “Approved” “Tour Worthy” and “On Tour” counts. Keep in mind this includes all 3 TGC games. This data is current as of June 4, 2019 at approximately 1:00 pm Central Time. Total courses approved on TGCT: 5,588 Tour Worthy courses: 2,134 On Tour courses: 915 38% of approved courses have been certified “Tour Worthy”. 43% of Tour Worthy courses have been chosen for Tour play. Working backwards, 16% of all courses approved on TGC Tours have been chosen for Tour play. Maybe not super useful information but just some stats for fun

Mate, if you want i can share here a copy of the list i'm working on. I'm waiting just cause i solved the publishing's issues, but it still not completed. Anyway, it already contains all the courses reported in the tgct2019 list (till the 1 of june) and i have still to report a lot of important data, but it could be useful for your work cause : 1) they are already more or less 300 courses, in this list, in which the column that indicates if they are handicapped courses or not is already properly checked.
2) i erased from this list all that courses that were no ported in tgc 2019 and is reported also the correct name (when it was modified) actually in game, plus some useful note (if a course have a tour/member version and so go on).
If you think it could help you,i'll share a "test" version just for your needs. Let me know. And when i'll come back home i'll post the link.

And, above all, i can immediately suggest to give a try to 2 courses i tried today for the list. One is named "Boca del Principe". Is a pretty fine course, various and really funny. Sadly i can't enjoy it cause is one of those course that suffers of that stupid glitch i found playing at Tantallon Castle and some green seems a soufflé. 👀 But i'm sure that it will be gorgeous for anyone else. And this course have just 81 plays, if i remember well. The 2nd is named "Holeshot etc" (i don't remember the exact name, but in the tgct2019 list it is placed immefiately after Boca del Principe) and is another pretty good course, with a bit of every kind of difficulty...but for some reason it has 35-40 plays. I hope this can be useful for your mission

I think that everything we can do to valorize the hard work of the designers, it deserves every effort. All the hours ( weeks )i work on that list, are spended mainly having this goal in mind (plus i hope it could give some benefit to everyone want to create a tournament schedule or just to try courses fitting with their needs). It's a shame that so many very good and enjoyable courses, from so many many talented guys we have here, are lying just as forgotten. So if i can, i'm really happy to help.

I think this is a great idea. I am always looking for a course to play here or there, for fun and warmup, and practice, and I simply don't have the time to play a lot of them.
I'd like to make a suggestion- In threads like this, its often very easy to miss the actual recommendations, due to all the other banter. When you do post your recommended course, if not too much trouble, go back and edit your original post, and perhaps have a place on there that says something like-
This week's course- Bread Crumb International
I picked this one because I like bread.
Or something like that, so we could just each week hit that first post and see a course to play. Just a suggestion though, thanks for doing this!

That’s a great suggestion. I was trying to think of something like that when we were getting more discussion posts in here. Will definitely do it that way. I plan to also reach out to the designer if I can find them and get permission to post screenshots and maybe even get one of my YouTube friends to do a playthrough

Another very interesting (and still not handicapped) course i checked just today for my list, especially if you're interested in green's classic architecture, it seems to be Briarcliff Hollow - TOUR. I still have to play it, but from pics it seems to be a very good work. Now i'm going to play some old course, looking for data for the list. I'll tell you, if i could find something interesting.

It’s an RCR of sleepy hollow I know it. for my list i must read the thread of every course. I suggested it just cause i believe they are required all kind of courses with few plays, not just fictional courses. But in fact i'm not sure 👀 But that course seems a beauty, anyway. It's a shame that it have less then 180 plays, if i remember well. Also,i played some hour ago Molokai, a ported course used in the tour some year ago. Other very clever course with few plays ( in tgct2019, at least). It's a joy to discover how much nice looking and solid courses we have. It's beautiful.

Tremendous amount of effort and attention to detail on those. Well done ones usually get noticed on their own just fine though. I wouldn’t called 180 plays bad, especially if the designer didn’t post anything about it.
