Welcome to another addition of Guess The Complaint here on the web.com. This week we head to the wonderful Ford Plantation by Chris Lane to see what complaints can be found about this rcr course. Our golfers are lined up and ready to go, keyboards along side their golf clubs for quick access to the forums. It’s going to be a interesting week here on Guess the Complaint but who will come out on top. As usual the bookies favorites are the wind, the ever popular wind was to high but could it be time for the rare, not enough wind so there was no challenge to make its return. The greens are another safe bet, with the greens are to fast neck and neck with the greens are to slow. Elevation has made a appearance or two this season, but bookies are reporting little interest in this, guessing the punters have seen that the piece of land the course is set in is relatively flat. Hold on a second, I am getting reports from the early takers that a dark horse outsider is making a early push for complaint of the week, hole length is coming on strong but what does that mean for the web.com, what combinations of complaints could that bring to the tables. I am now hearing from reporters in the field that there is chaos at the bookies stands with punters rushing to get the best odds on double and triple complaints. The odds on 550 yard par four in that wind is dropping like a stone, followed by concrete greens on a 550 yard par four. Words like ridiculous and stupid are being banded around, and what’s this, blame, blame is returning to the web.com. I can’t believe it, it’s the classic, the scheduler does have a clue, you heard it first here folks, the scheduler does not have a clue. Holy crap, complaints and blame together this is a shocking turn of events, could we also see a return of how did this pass the rangers and who designed this garbage. What a week we have in store here on the web.com, do not change the channel, it could be one hell of a ride.
All jokes aside, there are some monster holes on this weeks course, can they all be reached in regulation, for the most part yes but no promises but fairways need to be found. Chris has done a fantastic job are recreating this course which brings a different type of challenge this week here on the web. Overall, not a difficult course but accuracy of the tee is a most. So have fun out there and good luck on those monster holes.

-6. -4.
Maybe 2 or 3 short of the cut I think. Not a fan of the super aggressive slopes on the greens, but it’s been well pinned thru 36 for them to not be in play so much. Easy conditions, tricky greens.
My days on this tour may be numbered, I didn’t play terribly, but I’m just scraping by. Tempo wasn’t bad, but that takes some adjusting to when you’re used to aiming short right to allow for the XBox fasts™️ lol.
Good luck all 👍🇦🇺👍
Edit - hadn’t read the intro to see it was an RCR. More of them are always welcome. I stand by my aggressive slopes thing - just my preference.

Well back on the web.com since last week (finishing mid field) after my adventure in european and suddenly I swung great again using my old technique. - 19 after 2 should give me a position with opportunities for round 3 and 4. Just hope I can keep swinging this well... makes it a lot easier

There goes my run of making cuts i think -4 in R1 with 8 putts stopping within 6 inches of the damn hole. If I could EVER learn how to putt, I would be competitive.

I'm enjoying this course, has a TPC Louisiana vibe about it. Hole 11 - flat par 4 - 552yds... Is that a publication error?

Course is tough but fair. I like well made RCRs like this one. I almost forget I'm playing a video game sometimes (with no fairway splits at just the right length...). Made a bunch of putts early in round 1 for -11. I'm sure that won't last.

Twist of events, new complaints of grass not green enough, sunlight intensity to great, shadows to dark and scary!

Ignored, really. You complained of elevation changes, I added a couple of courses that played very flat. There was complaints of hurricane winds, I toned down the winds over the coming weeks, there are the odd high wind day to add variety but no very high winds over the next month or so and most weeks have just the one windy day. Concrete greens, 187 greens another complaint. I have added recently greater range of green speeds with a couple of times green speeds dropping down to 144, I won’t go any lower as I think to slow is worse than to fast. The same goes for firmness, soft and moderate conditions have been added to the schedule, not something that will be seen every week but more often. I added a course to the schedule last night to has both a soft and moderate firmness days. There has been a couple of events added where their are no aggressive slopes anywhere on the greens, again based on feedback. I have always paid attention to what people say, some changes will not be seen instantly, I schedule well in advance to allow me to deal with real life issues that could pop up, for example, my 10 year old nephew is visiting from Australia in June, I have met him just once, I shall spend most of June hanging out with him, which is why the web is now scheduled up to mid July. There are still tough days planned, there are still going to be different types of courses used, including a out and out fantasy course recently added, not everyone’s cup of tea but again adds to the variety here on the web. And for people that like the challenge of tougher days and courses, they have not been ignored either. I pay attention to what people say, I incorporate it where and when I can I do not pander to people by changing everything and having the web turn into a handholding tour.

First time playing the Web this week, had to take the last couple of weeks since the promotion event off due to a number of uni deadlines - logged back in today to find I had been promoted from CC-B to here at the Web. Probably be a short stay before I'm kicked back to CC-Pro, but looking forward to giving it a crack up here!

Welcome to the web, I think you will be fine up here, the difference between cc pro and the web is small, it is very competitive but you would not be here If you did not have the ability. Good luck when when you play your rounds, remember though, there is a cut on the web, first two rounds have to be played by Thursday night.

Look, man, I think what you do is great. I think it's a lot of work you put in and it's really not even for your benefit and we know you're not paid. It is very much appreciated. I think the majority of the tournaments you've put together have been really good. Very much appreciate your time and effort, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the tour does, too. But let's all learn and move on. You're going to get criticism no matter what you do. I dont think this course of action of complaining about complainers and saying you ignore them is a great idea. To be fair, most complaints have come about from the high winds, fast and firm greens, and pins near yellow and red slopes, all combined. Seldomly individually. This forum is to talk about the tournaments. It's literally the place to complain about conditions and the course. The minority is going to be more vocal because the content aren't going to find the need to say anything. You've done a great job overall to this point. A few complaints here and there... dont take it personally, some are out of frustration with their play, and not every decision you're going to make is the perfect choice. You've done well. Considering the amount of complaints over 27 weeks or whatever, that's really not much. If you think it is, check out some CC forums where people complain about a course every week after shooting -40.

Agreed...sometimes this forum is used to just vent frustration over a rough round or rounds. Sometimes it's just easier to rant against the conditions first...i know i do sometimes just because i'm pissed at the way i'm playing. It's not just the Web but I saw it on CC too...it seemed every tournament was set up as hard/fast/windy every day. I mean...there are other weather conditions in this world like wet and slow...but admittedly since i only play these tour rounds and ranger that i never see anything that isn't basically hard and fast so maybe having other conditions would be worse or wouldn't be challenging enough for this level.
