These greens and pins are absolutely brutal. Finished on -31, played reasonably well but not great, but I can't complain at all since I had several miracle putts that were not even remotely down to skill, I'm just kinda guessing and hoping with putts on PS4. Today a lot of them just happened to go in even when I missed the cone, so yay I guess. GIR was 75% over 4 rounds - considering some of the pins and the very firm green settings on a couple of rounds, I'm extremely happy with that. Some of those pins I can't see how you can get close. This course must be a nightmare IRL. Highlight for me was R3, couldn't make anything work on the front 9 and then just violated the back 9: Best of luck all, I can't imagine more than a handful breaking -40 this week. Edit: apparently this sign is on the real life course, makes sense:

Got 2 rounds in and spoiled awesome front 9’s with bad back 9’s.
Went -7 and -8 on the front and followed them with a -2 and -4.
-21 through 2 is better than I expected at this nasty place but it could’ve been special. Especially since I believe the back is rated easier.

Despite playing ok, it will be another missed cut for me at -11. Decent 3rd round at -9, but then I'm afraid there are quite a few joke R4 pins.....

Wow just dreadful play from me in round 1 and absolutely no love from the golfing gods. First time I've ever loaded the course up (which in hindsight was a mistake haha) left my birdie putt on the 1st inches short and that set the tone for my round .... lip-outs and burnt edges galore not helped by being miles away from the hole due to my shocking swing plane tempo was good though haha 5 birdies 2 bogies and a double for -1 I'm sssshhhhhiiiitttt

No deflection of blame (other than to the golfing gods but f**k those guys anyway) towards the schedulers, designers, rangers, admins, lag, green speeds, Pablo or whatever. All the misery is based on good old-fashioned self-loathing and accepting you just played shiiiiiit. This kind of beautiful self-flagellation is what golf is all about

Kept the red of my scorecard in round 2 but the burnt edges were still there to stop me having a ridiculously good round .... managed to hit -10 which leaves me obviously at -11 at the cut which I imagine I'll miss .... see you next week boys!

I also remember when going across the street to the 15th tee a bunch of people just sitting there at the 17th tee ,which is along side 15 waiting for there parties to finish 15 and 16 they would just skip them 2 holes lol can't wait to watch the PGA this week where 9 under could win it lol

I probably would’ve stopped counting at 120.

Rolling along in R1 then hole 15 happened. Sitting 15ft from hole on 2nd shot then proceeded to finish the hole with a 7. Missed cut on one hole! Bye and good luck.

This course actually made me ask a course designer if there was a setting they could set for sharp edges on the holes. I haven't had so many lipouts in my life it seems.

-33.
Poorest tee to green week for me for some time. Swing was wonky and had loads of different tempo issues on top. Thankfully i putted well, mostly for pars
Not my favourite track, and i really don't understand why Round 4 was set up the way it was. Those pins represented enough of challenge without jacking up the speed & firmness (oh & the wind) on top. Overkill IMO
Anyway, Top 25?

Played the first 2 rounds early for some reason, guess I just got a bit bored this afternoon. Anyway, ahead of Jacko heading into round 3 for a change, he's been kicking my ass lately

Anyway, ahead of Jacko heading into round 3 for a change, he's been kicking my ass lately Followed you in a practice round. You hit some nice shots and putts. Something weird has happened with my old mouse as I've gone from usually getting slow downswings to fast downswings. Don't get me wrong, of the two I would definitely prefer faster downswings, especially off tee shots, it is just that I find it odd that before I had to really cook the mouse forward to get a fast downswing and now it feels like I'm having to slow down my downswing just to get it to perfect. Only change in the machine was adding the newer mouse. Since they are two different brands there shouldn't be a conflict but something has changed. Normally changes are for the worse but I think this might be one for the better. PCs are suck fickle beasts.
