Hey Dreg. You're welcome to join our society over at "Master Clubs Tour". We play Masters on new courses, usually courses within a week of release or courses with less than 300 plays to get some new designers some attention. Lord knows the big names around here get plenty of love already. LOL. We currently have 140 Members, +20 HCP so it's pretty competitive and we ghost when we must. All Master players under +20 invited, we'd love to have ya!... Hit em' straight!

Update - switched to Pro clubs because I realised how terrible I am, only to find out... I'm still terrible!
Having fun though!

My advice, the most important thing for me above all if you play with a controller,no matter what,is to find a good, firm and confortable position to grab it. If you spend sone time on this, you will be shot straight and this is half of the work. The rest will come.

I’m pretty new to the competitive side of TGC as well. I just played my first 4 rounds of Q school this week, spend much more time in the designer. When playing casually, I play master clubs with limited assists and usually shoot around -1 or -2. But competitively, I’ve decided to play with pro clubs so I can at least hold my head above water. Should I find myself on the doorstep of one of the pro tours (pga, euro, or web) I’ll consider working on my master club game

This thread got me thinking. What is the average score for each tour? And which tour is the most competitive? Also, how does the competition relate to the PGA Tour in real life? I took all players that had played at least 50 rounds on their respective tours and got some answers...
Tours (Sorted by Hierarchy)
Tours (Sorted by Best Average Score)
Answers *Other than the CCZ tour, every tour's average score is lower than the real life's PGA Tour. **Even with using Master Clubs only - the PGA and Euro Tours score better than all other tours. ***The Web Tour with Masters only - shoots poorer average scores than CCA and CCB. ****CCD has a better average score than CCC. *****Some of the worst Beginner Tour players have worse scores than the average CCZ player. Would these players be better off using their beginner clubs in the CCZ instead? Where the average score is 74.0 instead of 67.2 in the Beginner Tour? ******The average beginner tour player (67.2) would be situated roughly in the CCE tour (66.9). The best beginner tour player (61.7) could compete in the PGA tour, albeit may find it harder on longer courses. The worst beginner tour player would struggle to compete in the CCZ.
Tours (Sorted by Most Competitive - aka ‘Lowest Best to Average‘ differential)
*The most competitive tour is the CCE. **All regular tours other than the best tour (PGA) and worst tour (CCZ) seem to have a reasonable competitiveness to them between 1.7 and 2.9 shots from best player to average. The PGA has a big gap of 3.8 and CCZ has an even bigger gap of 4.9. Something to think about...?

A few people at the start of the thread mentioned not worrying about the top of the leaderboard and instead setting small goals for myself. Spot on advice. At one point I had 3 demotion marks, and I made it a goal to clear them by finishing in the top 100 regularly.
After two finishes at 98 and 93, and with my first bogey free round, I'm now down to 1 demotion mark. And I have to tell you, I feel like I've won a major. 😂
Some further goals:
- Have a whole tournament at par or under. -Consistently finish no lower than 100. -Win a tourna... hahaha who am I kidding.

Let's hope so! How is your new division going? I've just got promoted to CC-F seemed to be having a good spell at the moment. I'm sure the bubble will burst shortly! Are you enjoying the game a little more now?
