NOTE: Please do not post on rounds that have not been revealed on the leaderboard. Moderating is in effect and they will be removed. Please use the Locker Room threads to discuss rounds not revealed. Thanks! The Press Tent will be a feature on TGC Tours where you can come in after a round or tournament and answer some questions from the press. You can let off some steam or tell about some great (or not so great) shots. Some of your answers will be used in Tournament recaps. Have fun, keep it clean! Reminder: Please include your leaderboard name in your post or in the Tour Name portion of your forum profile so that our reporters can make the connection between your Press Tent posts and your leaderboard names. Thx! Questions (answer as many or as few as you like) - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- What did you think of the course?
- How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
- Ask your own question and answer it!

AND WHY IS THAT?Well Buffy the vampire slayer may be able to help him , as his putter always seems to bite him , lol. RIGHT ENOUGH OF THAT, HOW WAS UR ROUND ONE?BEAUT , everything went well, I swung well, putted well, had no issues, hence the 55 -16, could not have asked for a better start, course played well, but looking at the leaderboard everybody seems to be at the top of there game at present. WILL YOU BE ABLE TO HOLD ONTO THE LEAD THRU ALL 4 ROUNDS?Now that my friend is a tough tough ask, with Tom Humphries, Alan McSpadyen, Chris Bird back from a week off, Nathan Allen, Ian Sweeney,Brionne Beaumont-Thomas and last weeks winner Bradley Garcia in the field, to be honest im going to say no, but im playing well so you never know. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS BETWEEN NOW AND ROUND 2?KARAOKE, YEAH , going to find acidflash and sing a few, lol, but I do have two songs I want to sing for Tony 'Buffy' McGettigan, one is Emillia, BIG BIG GIRL IN A BIG BIG WORLD, LOL , and MUSTANG SALLY, LOL. PLEASE NO, OH WELL CANT STOP YOU, ENJOY, I THINK, AND SEE YOU AFTER ROUND TWO.Thanks, bye for now.

Andi Smith reappears in the tent MORNING ANDI, HOW YOU FEELING TODAY?Morning, my throats I little croaky , I feel like a frog in a library, read it, read it, lol. YOU WAS BAD THOUGH, EVER THOUGHT OF GIVING GOLF A TRY?HA HA, ever thought of being a journalist? Seems like nobody else wants to speak with you, just leave your laptop and go on holiday, I'll write my own interview. lol. ANYWAY HOW WAS ROUND 2 FOR YOURSELF?Good good, not going to moan , shot a 57 -14. steady as she goes once again, seems im getting a boring tag as im playing nice and safe not taking un wanted risks and at present I seems to be paying off. A LITTLE BIT OF MOVEMENT ON THE LEADERBOARD?Yes, as I said yesterday hell of a lot of very good players in the field so I expect much more of the same thru the next two rounds as well. THE COURSE SEEMS TO BE THROWING OUT SOME BIG SCORES, WHATS YOUR OPINION?It is a high scoring course, hit fairways and give yourself a nice approach then you have almost a birdie putt on every hole, don't know if this is the way forward but you know your putting has to be hot because 1 or 2 missed putts could mean a huge difference on the leaderboard. WELL THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME ANDI.Your welcome, hopefully somebody else will speak with you soon.

Brionne decides to join the press tent Good morning Brionne.. What did you think of the course and how was your first Round?Morning Bob.. Course is great and the birds are everywhere.. Hear that? Just heard another one.. First round was steady.. Nothing to write home about -13 (58). 3 strokes behind the leaders after round 1.. Do you think you have a chance?Yeah absolutely.. After 'Asslol'.. I mean Andi Smith set the bar, I got a feel of what will be needed to stand a chance. Round 2 was much better, raising my game to shoot a -16 (55). This should leave me within striking distance of the leaders. If I can replicate this round a few more times, and rely on pressure to get to the leaders, I could make a move to the top. Nothing guaranteed though, there are still many to tee off. I think it's safe to say you've made it through to the weekend.. What will you be getting up to before rounds 3 and 4?
I'm glad you asked.. I have been invited as a guest judge on 'Indian Sitar Hero' and will be watching Acidflashback, Andi Smith and Tony McGettigan, all guest starring in the show.. Should be quite entertaining Ok then... Well... Good luck with that and the remaining two rounds.Cheers!

We catch up with Robert Karlsson on the putting green
Robert, -19 so far this week. Sitting on the bubble.
Yep, just waiting on the last guys to finish up to see if we should get a flight out of here or not.
You bettered your first round score by 7 shots today. What was different?
Just could not get it going in the first round. Birdies not dropping in the beginning and that made me push a bit too hard. Started to get some momentum on the back nine but then a bogey killed it. Today was much more solid.
Certainly was - if not for a couple short putts that didn't drop you could have been looking at best score of the day.
That's why I'm on the putting green, you know. Want to put a good weekend in if I sneak the cut, and I know my long game is up there with the best on tour.
So no sitar contest for you?
Haha, No. I heard the courtesy food is very Indian, so we'll see how the guys stomachs hold up. Also, anywhere Acidflashback sets his foot tends to end up is some sort of calamity so better stay away.
Couple of missed cuts in a row coming into this week, are you worried?
Plenty of talent coming into the tour during the last few weeks. Getting though out here. Felt that I played great and had the game to compete last week, but getting tee times during the storm didn't help. But that's golf. Not like we can choose when to tee off or anything.
Thanks Robert!
Sure, any time.

Hi Brad, congratulations on your maiden win last week. How did your first two rounds go?
Thank you. Well to be honest I wasn't looking forward to this tournament as much as the last one. I seem to miss too many putts inside of ten feet to win birdie fest tournaments.
58, 56 seems pretty good to me?
Yeah, especially the 56. But this course is one of the easier ones we play so if you shoot 58 you lose ground on the field.
What do you think your chances are over the weekend?
Well, I would have to shoot a couple of rounds in the mid-fifties to realistically stand a chance, the way that everybody is tearing this course up. For that to happen I am going to have to make everything I look at and not keep missing these 8 footers that I tend to do. My approach play has certainly been good enough.
Thanks for you time and good luck over the weekend
Thank you.

Hi slick, that's a nice smile on your face
Yeah. It's been a good week for me so far.
Pleased with making the cut and earning your Euro-card, then?
Absolutely. I was having fun at the web.com as well, even when I missed some cuts. When I was told I could try to make it in the bigger league, there was no doubt in my mind. I wanted to give it a shot, and here I am.The money here is also much better. Will come in handy, since I bought a new and bigger apartment this week. I'm still missing some checks from the web.com, but they'll probably arrive soon.
Money? Check? You do know.....
Yeah. I've already spent it on a week off for some practice and sun in Dubai in a couple of weeks. I'll probably have to skip the Tshwane Open, but think it'll do wonders for the rest of my season.
Ok....? What was the highlight of your two first rounds?
Probably the putt for birdie on 18th in the second round. I had already missed two from 3-feet on 16th and 17th and really needed that one. It was fist-pump time. As it turned out, it got me my card.
About your putting stroke...
Hehehe. I've received some comments about my putting. I know it's really slow and stops at the back, but that's the way I've always rolled it. I'm probably missing my broomstick Scotty, and not confident enough with the short putter... yet.
What are your hopes for the weekend and the future tournaments?
A top-40 this week would be nice. Hope for some rounds around 60 to climb the leaderboard a bit. The next weeks will be about making cuts, improving, stabilizing and getting rid of the bogeys and doubles that tend to pop up now and then. I've only played for a month, and got plenty to learn.
Good luck. Indian tonight, I guess?
Nah. Already booked at a peruvian place with ceviche and Pisco 75's. Will be fun. Just need to remember to get up for my tee-time tomorrow morning.
Thanks for your time. Final comments?
Yeah. Delighted about the appeal in the Spurs CPO-case being turned down today. COYS!

And he jumps from 28th to 6th place on moving day as he brushes off the reporters with a flick of his middle finger. Come see me on Sunday, and bring a joint and a bottle champagne with a few shots of jack.

Andi Smith wanders in,,,,, HI ANDI, WELCOME, HOW YOU FEELING?Hi not to bad thanks. got a bit of a dicky belly though . OH YES YOU WAS ON INDIAN SITAR HERO LAST NIGHT?Oh great why did u have to ask,,,yes acidflashback, Tony 'Buffy' McGettigan and myself was on, with Brionne Beaumont-Thomas as a guest judge.HOW DID IT GO THEN?
Didn't u watch?, Well after Tony's rendition of BIG GIRLS DONT CRY , and acids rendition of LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED , my attempt of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, I thought was going well until I saw Brionne Beaumont-Thomas fall from his guest judge's stool in fits of laughter, which made me look at Tony, who had his head in his hands and acid who was just dancing like he just didn't care. YES BRIONNE DID SLATE YOU A LITTLE? >:DA LITTLE , the man had it in for me, don't know if it was the music or the clothes they dressed us in, it was his whole intention to have me lose to Tony 'Buffy' McGettigan, I know it was a conspiracy, i'm not one who moans or whinges a lot, , but it was a complete travesty. pppfffftt , oh excuse me. BLIMEY ANDI THAT STINKS. Sorry it was the courtesy food they gave us last night, if you noticed other players and officials and even my own caddie kept clear from me on the course, he only came within 5yrds to throw me a club. YES BACK TO THE GOLF, STILL TIED FOR THE LEAD AFTER 3RDS, HOW DID YOU PLAY?I'm, starting to sound like boring Steve Davis now, lol, but once again nice and steady, hit the ball well, scored well again, 57 -14, I cant complain at all. YOU ARE IN A 4 WAY TIE AT THE TOP, CAN YOU HOLD ON TO THE LEAD?I can only try, but the top 10 is filled with high calibre players, its going to be an exciting final round that's for sure. pppfffftt , excuse me again. COUGH,COUGH , THANKS ANDI WE WILL LET YOU GO, SEE YOU AFTER ROUND 4.Thanks and sorry again. Anybody get me some air freshener before anyone else enters please,,,,,,,,

Kevin, How do you feel after your 3rd round?
A pedestrian -10. Not great but I will take it. Trying to come in the top 50, Im more favored towards courses that are tougher and scores are not as great, so I was pleasantly surprised in making the cut. At -30 right now I feel like Im in a good position to get a good chunk of change.
This is your second weekend in a row, after only making one of your first five, what changed?
I think Ive fallen into a good routine where I get a few practice rounds in, and as long as I make cuts Im happy. After all, its all about money in the end, so as long as those checks keep coming you will hear no complaints from me.
Your thoughts on Sitar Hero?
Disgusted that I couldn't come out and beat these guys who seem to be more focused on the nightlife and debauchery than the golf. (just kidding, guys) I dont know how they do it, these scores are super low and I applaud them.
Any predictions for next week? In effect, we are playing four different courses so the wind will be different on all of the courses which will be a challenge and eliminate "wind waiting" and if you dont double check if the tees were in the same place as last round you could get bit real quick by that course. I expect -50 will get in done in low winds, -45 if there are constant winds. Also, I am going to take Brionne Beaumont Thomas to take it in his home country, because he is playing the best golf on the tour right now.

A new face has stopped by the Press Tent:
Hey Matt, we haven't seen you in the press tent before.
No. Man of few words. Mostly...
Indeed. How's this weekend's tournament going?
Fantastic, thank you. 60 is a great score for me, so to hit two of them followed by a 57 is out of this world.
Deservedly so. Better than you'd hoped for then?
Absolutely. My best finish on Tour so far was T21 in the season opener. Two missed cuts and a series of poor showings later, to be within sniffing distance of a top ten through R3 is a big deal for me, way better than I'd ever expected. There's some great players here on tour and competition is beyond fierce. I wasn't at all confident of a strong showing here. Practice rounds were nothing really special, but it all came together when it mattered.
Let's hope you can hold it together in Round 4.
Yes, thanks for that. Sunday will be extremely tense! I threw away a decent-ish start a few weeks back in Abu Dhabi, so it could all go downhill very quickly.
Think you can bother the top guys?
Let's not get ahead of ourselves...
Best of luck, and stop by more often...

Welcome back Acid, or should I say, Big Show! That rendition of "Lets Get The Party Started" was CRAZY... especially when you did that thing with the sheep! And what about the goat gymnastics by Brionne and Andi? That was sick.
Well what a night. I mean that Goat thing that the lads pulled off, I mean wow. I normally just go to the shop to buy my milk. And Tony? Those Irish are something else eh?! I haven't even got a name for that move he done on the sheep and the goat!
Yes, and the finale, oh wow. I can see now why golf is not your strong game. Speaking of which, how did you find the course?
I would love to day I found it easy, but with my caddy giving directions to the taxi driver... The golf course and accommodation are top notch. I teed it up early in the tournament and had favourable winds. The greens are all reachable with 2 shots and were playing relatively flat. But that doesn't stop me from leaving a whole bunch of putts out on the course. I knew my 7 under first round would not even make the cut. So I was eager to make amends and, after a quick curry, played my 2nd round in the afternoon.
Curry for lunch, was that a wise choice.
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, but the goat curry had Tony's business card buried at the bottom. That must have been one rough night for him. The curry for lunch was not the best idea, especially with my choice of traditional Indian garb to wear for the tournament. I ended up shooting a 66, a total of 12 under par for 2 rounds. Not enough.
That's a few missed cuts now Steve, what's your plans going forward? Well I'm going to complete my responsibilities here in India, namely my 101 course on milking goats, and then travel back to South Africa for the Jo-Burg open. Brionne is apparently hosting a karaoke party and is one mean rocker! So we will see you there, with goat bells on.

For the last time this week, thankfully, Andi Smith enters the tent, HI ANDI HOW YOU FEELING TODAY?Hi all better than I was the other day thanks. HOW DID YOUR FINAL ROUND PLAY OUT? >:DTerrible , absolutely shocking really after the 1st three rounds, 60 -11 was just not enough not when Nathan Allen and Brionne Beaumont-Thomas shooting an outstanding 54 -17 a piece. WHAT HAPPENED OUT THERE?, YOU SEEM TO STRUGGLE WITH YOUR SWING TODAY?, YOUR BODY LANGUAGE AT TIMES WAS NOT GOOD?I'm not one to complain or moan , but I think I need to find the fine line between golf and enjoying cultural activity's during tournament week , think it all caught up with me in the end as I struggled with my swing today, I had numerous shots where I did not connect fully 100% into the stroke, never had any issues in rounds 1-3 and yes I was getting frustrated out there but I had to remember my warning from the European tour and keep a lid on my frustrations. AGAIN ALOT OF MOVEMENT ON THE LEADERBOARD?You could say that as I mentioned before two outstanding rounds of -17 , one of which was enough for the win, congratulations to Brionne Beaumont-Thomas on his 2nd European tour win, Mr consistency Tom 'Top Ten' Humphries for his 3rd consecutive top 10, Alan Mcspadyen and Bradley Garcia on there 2nd consecutive Top 10 and lastly to me auld mukka Nathan 'The Brick' Allen on another top 10 finish, very well played to you all. WELL ANDI I MUST SAY YOUR VERY GRACIOUS IN DEFEAT HAVING LEAD THRU THREE ROUNDS?Have to be don't I, beaten by the better player in the end, cant change that now. PLANS FOR YOU NOW ANDI?Airport with the travelling party, Tony 'Buffy' Mcgettigan, Nathan 'The Brick' Allen and Tom 'Top Ten' Humphries and travel to South Africa for the Joburg open, To try and stop The South African Steamboat, aka, Brionne Beaumont-Thomas winning in his own back yard and hopefully get an invite to his karaoke night he is throwing. THANKS AGAIN, ENJOY YOUR TRIP AND I WILL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK.That you will, thanks and safe travels.
