The people who designed, scheduled and rangered this course need to spend the rest of their lives being waterboarded in Guantanamo Bay! 173 greens are you f-ing kidding me?!!? What kind of diabolical scheming scumbag would set a green to that kind of clown number?? I would have had -86 if the greens worked but no, in the end and due to no fault of my own since I am in the PGA and therefore flawless, I ended up with a humiliating -38. Seriously though I didn't play well, but all obviously ( obviously) 100% my own doing, not just awful putting but I misjudged the wind a lot. Strong chance I'll be cutline-watching with -18 after 2. Best of luck all, let's see if we can get a lock-free, drama-free thread this week

Well finally some half decent golf, but along with you juicy, I will also be watching the cut line, I think I was -18 and finished -43 plays some really good golf over the weekend, so hopefully I make the cut and can push for a top 25

Well I'm not watching any lines this week at all after that - either my controller is totally f***ed or the game on PC is - as I have gone from a mix of perfect and fast downswings in every other week so far (which I'm at least used to and can therefore control to a degree), to slow being my default downswing today, very slow appearing extremely regularly (and I can count the number of VS I've ever had in 9 months on one hand before today), and any swing that FELT very fast, registering as Perfect. No idea why it has totally changed today - but you can't play a course from the right hand jungle all day (despite feeling like you are ramming the stick forward as fast as humanly possible - and it still registers as slow)

Hello. My name is Ron. Am I in the right place? You see I just played in some big tournament where afterwards they blindfolded me, threw me in the truck of a car and drove me through what seemed like a forest fire for hours before being tossed out onto some sort of conveyor belt that began moving. Due to the excessive heat and the lack of water, this next part is a bit hazy. I think I was then stripped naked of all my worldly bonds, branded by something and then put in a cage were my sins were washed away, as well as much of my skin and anything left of my dignity, by the water from a fire hose. I spent the night on a cold, wet, hard cement floor to reflect upon my journey. Finally, after what seemed to be hours, the door slammed open. I heard the voices of two people, who have obviously been drinking, whisper.
"They brought us another one," one said barely containing his excitement. "Do you think he'll last?"
"Probably not more than the other lot who decided to leave us by taking the leap off quitter's cliff," replied the other.
My blindfold was removed and I was helped up. The sky around me was a bright amber as the eternal fires of Hell burned brightly. There was a smell of sulfur in the air and a constant rain of ash. A large billboard floated in the sky. It simply said "WGR and FEDEX" with a series of names and numbers lined up under each title. Every now and then a name would move up or down and there would be a roar of cheers and boos simultaneously. Then suddenly a voice screamed out in defiance and an audible *GASP* came from the crowd. There was a bright flash and the man dissipated. As everyone looked up at the board, one name changed slightly and the word "retired" flashed after the name. Dead silence for a moment turned then into pandemonium as if Hell lost its collective mind. People with whips tried to keep the unruly crowd in check but at some point, there was a flash of light and a lightening bolt that hit the ground and split it asunder. The people lost their voices and moved hastily away.
Things then moved so quickly, I'm not sure what was real and what was a dream. I was quickly thrown a bunch of colorful, mismatched clothing and was told it was my golfer's attire from now until I earned more. Now dressed I found myself in possession of my clubs and was being escorted somewhere. As the crowd grew I heard whispers, some even muttering my name. Some out there seemed to recognize me. I heard words of anger, others of indifference but most of sympathy. One even stopped me and put his hands on my shoulders and asked, "What the F*** took you so long?"
What indeed? You see my friends, somewhere between last season and this one, I lost my game, my mojo, my groove and frankly for half of a season I had no idea where it went. I traveled the world in search of it. I would find part of it in Scotland, a piece in Spain and another part in Colorado but that final piece eluded me for so long. I lost one piece down-under only to get it back in Oman. I kept looking until I found the last piece in a small college town, on a course 'perfect for casual rounds or low-level tournament play.' And then I was here...
The man nodded to me and smiled. "Well it's time!"
Time? Time for what? I was ushered quickly forward and the crowd before me parted to reveal a tee box. A voice boomed out of no where saying, "Next on the tee, from Canada, Ron Duncan!" There was a smattering of cheers and jeers as a club was thrust in my hand.
"I haven't played this course before. What about practice?" I pleaded.
Everything went dead silent for a long, uncomfortable moment. A familiar face walked up to me. I recognized his face. Bradley I think it was. He was older, greyer and had a few more scars. He grinned, "Practice? We don't need no stink'in practice." He grabbed my shoulders, spun me around and pushed me onto the tee. There was a moment of laughter that fell quickly to the soft murmur of respectful crowd. I somehow found the tee and the ball in my pocket and put them in place. I looked out to the fairway before me, the sun was rising. It was the start of a new day and I was home again.
What you expected anything less than an essay from me? I'm back b%&es!! #Rayisjustjealous

Stupid game.
First Round was a horror show - messed up all the easy holes, missed putts, bogied 17 & 18 and generally stunk up the place - 66.
From there i played with total freedom and reeled off 58-58-59 without really trying.
-43 total if -18 makes the weekend. Might be tight but think i'll be ok given the winds. Top 20?

I’m at -18 as well. R1 started good then a bogey on a par 5 and for next 3 holes was getting constant fasts and 95%. Not sure what was wrong but limped in for -6. R2 was solid -12 but couldn’t keep the momentum and a pair of -7s to finish. I feel I have the skill to compete but I always have a hole that throws me off. Just can’t shake it.

-41 for me ( 55, 62, 64, 62 ). Used all my horseshoes for a -16 first round including 2 hole outs for eagle, then reverted back to normality for rest. Pleased that I followed up a Top 20 last week with another good 4 rounds that could hopefully get another.
Quality course, plenty of long tree lined Par 4's that demand accurate drives, but get the drive on the fairway and there wasn't many flags you couldn't go for, so there definitely low rounds out there.
Good luck everyone!

Off and away on my return with a probable missed cut 😂😂😂 Bogey free 1st 2 rounds but parred the 1st 9 holes of the tournament with some tentative putting and wind misjudging. Decided to be a bit more aggressive in round 2 and it paid off to a degree.... -5 -11 for -16 at the cut See you next week boys! Haha

Complete and utter shower of dog toss for me lads. 36 and out again, and again, had a practice rd of -10... I find myself -11 thru R2. I should give up this practice lark.
See you next week 😂
