Finally jumping back in. After playing all these major contest courses over and over and over- my game and putting is better. was sitting at -10 after 27- poised to make a move up the leader board, and then it was constant F/F and lip outs- couldn't get anything to fall that R2 back 9. Finished -10 (-5, -5)

R1 -5 R2 -3
Very happy to make the cut as apparently I love the wind
R3 -5 double bogey and 1st hole in one on tgc 2019
R4 -5 despite another double bogey
Loved the challenge of this course.

Over the next month or so, windy days will be scarce and no very high winds at all, better get used to those calmer conditions, oh and congratulations on the ace.

Played 18 at +4 for the week, +3 on 6. That’s the difference between 63rd and a top 25...

After playing those last 2 rds in hurricane Daniel I have to be happy to finish at -22, they were brutal. Hopefully done enough for my 3rd top 10 which at one point looked doubtful I was +2 thru 3 in rd 4 but knuckled down to get it back to finish with a 68, and hear was me thinking the Web was going to be a nice relaxing tour.

that Rd 4 was brutal... as a designer all those front to back sloped 187 greens were driving me crazy- coming in with long irons and no chance to hold the green (those greens /pin locations weren't designed for very fast winds). Admittedly I broke and bounced the controller off the couch- which broke the usb cord- and was forced to play the last 12 holes cordless- which never goes well for me. good times.
Glass half full- got rid of a demotion mark.

Glass half full- got rid of a demotion mark. Not just every green rolled front to back, but they weren't smooth. With very fast greens the ball was like a pin ball. I dont know if the designer did this on purpose, like a more natural surface, but I think it wasn't done well and does not play well in these conditions. Not many redeeming qualities in this course.

This course was not designed as fast and firm, that was a choice made by me and not the designer. All settings and conditions on every course picked for the web, is strictly down to me, sometimes like last week, the setup will be deliberately hard, again my choice, to see how people handle the challenge of something unexpected. It won’t happen often, it will happen again but it is always down to me, never a ranger or a designer.

I'd actually prefer more tournaments where -20 makes top 10. The front to back slope 187 greens is a personal pet peeve, and I coulda kept that to myself.

Feedback is good, both positive and negative, and believe it or not, I do pay attention and take it into consideration when setting up courses. I just can’t take it into consideration for every round on every week, otherwise we would be playing 20 different courses with 20 different setups each week.
