This is my first web event. Is there no wind speed for any event? Is there any other differences? No wind speed but that’s easily figured out, master clubs only and of course a cut line, they are the only differences between the web and challenge circuit. Unless you count having the best looking, most intelligent, kindest scheduler on tgctours a difference . Welcome to the web.com and good luck with your opening rounds

This is my first web event. Is there no wind speed for any event? Is there any other differences? Firstly welcome to WEB... no wind speeds are displayed on the PRO tours however you can judge the wind speed by the white fill in the wind speed box... No other differences apart from master clubs only Good luck Oh my, it's a different animal altogether. Managed -7 for my first two rounds and only -2 for the final two. Not bad I guess for my first rounds in the tour. Probably not near enough to make the cut but so be it.

We actually rarely have winds this strong on the web, in all the events so far this season, very high winds have been used less than 10 times I think. The courses and difficulty do vary, some weeks will suit you, others won’t. I think on average the cut line over the season is around-12, sometimes less, sometimes more but rarely out of reach.Just keep plugging away and you will be fine

I found that out the hard way one week and that is my only missed week so far.

Not a disgraceful start by any measure. Well done and good luck going forward 👍

Played rd 1, pretty tame winds hmammoth surely you can crank them up a bit for future events . Had one of those rd's when pretty much everything went right with no tempo issues, got some very good bounces, even had a chip drop and finished up with a 62 (-9) that could have been a couple better if I could putt. Followed up with rd 2 (winds still very tame I see) unfortunately the good luck couldn't continue, also missed a heap of putts for a 70 (-1). Sitting at -10 which I thought would be sweating the cut but in looking at the posted rd 2 scores should actually be safe. Good luck to those yet to play / finish.

That's no longer the case ha

Your wish is my command, I have cranked up the winds for rounds 3 and 4 just for you.

Do we get a special masochistic badge, if we finished all four rounds without being anywhere near the cut line?

Appreciate the effort hmammoth ; TGCT's best scheduler delivers again. Unfortunately I finished poorly in rd's 3 & 4 with a 72 (+1), 71(E) to end up at -9. I'd really like to #blamethewind, #blamepablo, #blamesomething but really it was just my poor shot selection and execution. Onto next week. Good luck to those yet to play / finish.

That 3 shots I gave up on 18 in rounds 1 and 2 are killing me. Good luck for next week, will add you to my rivals list 👍

With 6 guys at -5 or better after 1 round on the leaderboard, I think the cut is going to go to -9.
Well played everyone that’s made it to the weekend and welcome to the new guys. A tour is made in the forums, the more of us that post the more fun it becomes - so if you’re reading this and don’t post, join in.
