First I want to start by saying welcome to the new web.com players. It’s good to have you onboard be you here for a long time or just visiting before you move on the the higher tours. After the last promotion event, I was given a little stick for picking such a hard course for the newly promoted. I am always one to listen to feedback so I reached out to my good friend texasdad and asked he to provide a easier course to help smooth the transition from challenge circuit to web.com. Leo came up with the beautiful Galena Park, a relatively easy course for the web. So I was shocked and horrified when I say the weather forecast for the week ahead, a unprecedented hurricane carrying tornado within a cyclone bringing the windiest conditions ever on the web.com. I said to myself, what could I do to make things better for the new webbers, I could at least make the conditions soft and slow but as I was writing the instructions for the groundskeeper, autocorrect on my iPad, kept saying max speed, max firmness, there was nothing I could do, I think my iPad was hacked by people leaving the web this week as a practical joke, oh those silly people, what a sense of humor. Well, there’s nothing more I can do but say. Welcome to the pro tours.Welcome to the web.com.

Nice course.
Apart from the damn 18th. I’m +3 thru 2 on it. Stupid slow into the water 1st round for a double, then stupid missed putt in R2.. Stupid!!!! At -10 thru 2. Felt like a made cut, but if it’s 11, 12 or 13, imma start cutting or something. Made a couple of really nice putts R2, much prefer the medium over the slow greens.
Anyway, welcome to the new folk. Would love to hear about your rounds and where you came from. We could use some chatty folk around here.
Sad to see Eric(pbuh) leave us and head down (by choice) to the lower tour. I hope he finds his fun and makes his way back here soon. Vikki is now in charge, I will enforce her rule™️ 🧝🏼♀️🙋🏼♂️

I've played this course a couple times before and really like it so I was feeling good about it despite the dire weather warnings. Played a great round 1 especially with the putter which is the weak point in my game. I think i made something like 4 putts over 20 feet and also had a chip in birdie on my way to an opening -11 for a 1 shot lead at the moment. My first moment ever leading a Web event so that's exciting no matter how brief it may be. The only real mistake i made was a 3 putt bogey on 16 when i was -12.

Should have stopped playing...played beautifully from tee to green but my normal putting stroke came back to bite me. I missed 5 birdie putts under 10 feet. Only real mistake came on 16 again missing the green long...on my chip a HUGE glitch happened and ended up fast fasting a flop back over the green into a terrible lie and ended up with a double bogey. Finished -4 on a day that I should have been double digits under. This is why i'll never win a tournament.

That’s the difference between us and the best players, they can put four good rounds together consistently. But here’s the thing, we all can hit those four good rounds sometimes, sure you need a bit of luck but it is more than possible for you to win a tournament. As your first round showed, on your day you can play as well as anyone on the web and there is always the chance that that round will turn into four, never say never. Now time to go back into hiding before you play the very windy rounds, good luck.

I quit out in R3 at +3 or something. R3 was TOUGH. You won’t have lost many on the field. Nice shooting 👍
Edit. At -17, you picked up a shot on the XB leader and are 3 in front. Picked up 5 on me, got me by 11 😂

Had a 47m 1m uphill putt. Flopped it. Just FYI. 33m is 100ft so no rules broken.

-5, -5, +4, -2 (-8) Not sure I’ve even made the cut.
The course was good, but the conditions were effectively the same rounds 3 and 4. Would have been (much) better with lower winds in round 4 for people to either charge or detonate.

Wow, I went from being on top of the leader board after 2 rounds @ -18 to having one of my worst EVER rounds on Web in R3 with a +3 It wasn't even the winds that worried me, I just couldn't drain a putt, back to back 3 putts on 10 & 11 i think, cost me big time Still no maiden win....

Another tournie to forget for me... loved the course, the hurricanes that came through never bothered me I just couldn’t concentrate properly and played rubbish only highlight being an ACE on the 17th in round 1
-3 -7 E - 2
So 10 under should make the cut to keep my 2 little green ticks but already looking forward to next week
Good luck all

Really, really disliking having to play in this tour with Masters on the Xbox.
I had a really great time on the CC tour with Pro clubs - enjoyed TGC a lot and couldn't wait to play every week.
Now it's just a horrible chore, and for the first time in many years, I hardly want to bother. Got half way through Round 1 this week and turned the machine off. Will take a double strike for the next few weeks and a demotion (unless there's a quicker way of doing it?).

This is my first web event. Is there no wind speed for any event? Is there any other differences?

This is my first web event. Is there no wind speed for any event? Is there any other differences? Firstly welcome to WEB... no wind speeds are displayed on the PRO tours however you can judge the wind speed by the white fill in the wind speed box... No other differences apart from master clubs only Good luck
