First ever TST event on the PS4, swing was all over the place, and I must have hit 4 or 5 trees. Not that it mattered overall, because perfect downswing tempo on PS4 is all but automatic lol - had at most 4 bad tempos the whole tournament, 21.7ft average proximity, and finished on -38. For some people, tempo for me is the difference between 36 and 40 under.

For some people, tempo for me is the difference between 36 and 40 under. I am a PC player and it's the same for me (although more the difference between -25 & -30 in my case)
I hit less than 10 off tempo swings a tournament. Even if it as easy as people say on PS4, i genuinely believe switching wouldn't make me more than a few shots better off.
I pull too many shots, i don't make chips and i don't make enough putts. There's your 10 shots

There's your 10 shots The worst part for me is the short irons, and I’m deliberately cautious again fast ds as they send them way left, I often deliberately go for fast ds off the tee and still only get 50% right, yet when I’m not playing for it I’d say 1 in 10 are still fast.

Well obviously, because it's so much more consistent on PS4 in the first place (and moreover fasts and slows aren't nearly as wild on PS4 either), so your frame of reference on this is restricted. It's like living in a gated community, seeing the news about an increase in stabbings and thinking, "typical exaggerating media, I hardly ever see any stabbings", yeah because you're shielded from the worst of it by structural factors. The more a player struggles with tempo, the more they'd benefit from switching to PS4. I'm coming from PC where it's just normal for me to have at least half a dozen bad tempos every round, sometimes a dozen or more, and I shudder to think what players in the XB1 tempo ghetto have to deal with lol, it's a different game. I knew there'd be some difference from the stats posted earlier in the season and the out-of-nowhere wins from recent defections to PS4, but now I've actually switched the difference is way higher than I expected. p.s. don't worry I'll shut up about this soon, only been a few days and I'm still in my honeymoon period and I can't believe what I'm seeing. I'm sure within a few weeks I'll be cursing HB for giving me 2 bad tempos in a round

Interesting take on Harbor Town, didn't mind the layout but all the greens are basically dead flat, should be a birdie fest. Unfortunately my putting is shiiiiiiite; I even kept shaving the cup when I knew they were dead straight . Ended up with a pair of 65's to be -12 at the cut, hopefully enough to make the weekend. Good luck to those yet to play / finish and remember those putts are straight.

I knew most putts were straight, yet I couldn't help be used to last week's hard curves. I think this course balances out and rewards those who trust their instinct, and compliments TST style of play on the greens.

I would have no problem with the course if it wasn't call Harbour Town. It's a insult to all the guys who put in the time to make accurate RCRs. It's a joke. Sorry but it's true.
Now if Colin used Lidar he could probably pump out 10 RCRs a week.
How this could get on a true sim tour is beyond me.
It's like if professional bowling allowed bumpers one week.
When I played IRL it was right before the Masters. They where getting it ready. The greens were brutal. Hard and fast. I'm a 10HC and shot horrible. Mainly because I couldn't keep it on the green and I was short sided a lot. Then I had to deal with some crazy slopes.

At least this has the hole designs pretty close. I need bumpers apparenlty because I shot a +1, and there is a gap bridging for those who don't usually shoot great are getting some confidence by shooting decent scores. Yeah, it's on the easy side, but I'd rather have an easy course that somewhat has the hole design of the real one versus another that lags in both local and in career mode environments. That's how it gets on the TST. Also, if anyone wants to join the TST Course committee, we could use some more as it's just me and Luke right now most weeks. PM me. Thanks.

Matt I respect everything you have done for sim golf. You are the godfather. That being said your course selection isn't the greatest lol.
Imop the problem with your course committee is you made it a democracy. You need one person to make the decision. Someone who knows RCRs well and understands lighting and course settings.then all the other people just give suggestions. Democracy is not always a good thing. It's slows things down and can decrease quality.
Maybe ask Will AKA Pakalolo. He plays a lot and always tells me of good RCRs.

We've made a couple of good course selections, some you do not even know if I had a hand in it or not. So before this turns into something that can be done a PM, let's drop it. Will make note for next year's RBC Heritage though.

Selection by commitee is a proven method, and has worked well for TST for a long time. If front loaded it works well. I think its more the game fatigue starting to kick in overall with less participation in the process.

Easier tempo is not a good thing in my book that's why I chose PC over PS4. My tempo is really good on PC atm it is best its ever been, if I could just hit the damn ball consistently straighter. The more the challenge in the game the more I enjoy it. Refreshing to see a winning score of 18 under on a HB course this week over on the USE society . Amazing how realisticly this game plays without the loft box's distance control.

Nope still playing USE on PC (you'll see my glorious +11 on this week's leaderboard lol), as I mentioned in the PGA thread I actually play those rounds for the enjoyable sim experience, scoring isn't the be all and end all

Finished up the last 2 rounds and my swing was a little bit off; left myself too many longer putts, had pair of 69's to finish at -16 overall. Hopefully I'm better next week.
Good luck to those yet to play / finish.
