Played the first 2 rounds early this week as I've got work this afternoon and will be watching the final round of the masters tonight! Putted very well and started -10 -13 for -23 at the cut. That will be plenty good enough imo as the winds were strong and some of the fairways narrow. Good luck ladies and gents ... hit em well and have fun!

Interesting course. Nothing terribly flashy about it. Some drive shaping required when the wind is up. Lots of long irons required but it seems every hole is attackable. Several driver to pitch shots. Just a quick speed round I shot -9 so I imagine -13 or better for the leaders after one.

Not too many gimmicks on this course There was one par four that I couldn't reach in two with the winds. A lot of shots with long irons. Had to rearrange my clubs a bit to compensate. So hard to get it close when you gotta carry a bunker from 211 out with a 15mph tail wind.

Thinking that might be enough to get through.

Made my only bogey of the tournament in the round that I had the best score, go figure ๐

Yikes. Hit two bunkers on the first hole, saved par. Missed the green on 2, saved par. Birdied 3. Birdied 4 from the fringe. Was on the back fringe in 2 on 5 but chipped and 2-putted for par. Missed the green on 6, saved par. Shanked my drive onto the beach on 7, lipped out a 12 foot par putt. 2-putt par on 8. Lipped out a 44 foot eagle on 9, then lipped out the 8 foot birdie, then missed the 6 foot par. Even through 9 holes.
On my approach shot on 10 I put my ball 3 inches BEHIND the hole. Birdied the next 3 holes, then hit a long putt on 14 just a bit too hard and popped over the hole. Missed an 11 foot birdie on 15. Hit a tree on 16 and saved par. Buried my ball in the side of the trap on 17 and saved par. Finished by making a ridiculous 28 foot eagle on 18 to shoot a 66. Absolutely bizarre round.
Ended up in the same greenside bunker on 1 in the second round but saved par again. Fast downswing on 2 again, parred. Had a 3-putt bogey from 18 feet on 6. Made a tough 23 foot birdie on 7. Had another putt go directly over the hole on 9, this time from 29 feet.
I again nearly holed out on my approach on 10, this time a foot behind the hole. Managed to just barely catch the hill properly on 13 to hit a 390+ drive. Nearly hit the pin on 14 with my pitch then missed an 8 foot birdie. Finished with a 64, -14 through 2 rounds.
My putting was outstanding from outside 20 feet and horrendous from inside 20 feet.

Bleh, played great until the final round, shot 69 for a -31 total. Another cut though, and another decent week at a very stressful time with school. I'll take it. Really neat course too, perfect challenge.

I fear this will be the third cut in a row. -13 is just weak. Couldnโt hit a putt but loved the course.

Game was a little off this week. Hit it good, just missed a few too many shortish putts. -10,-10,-5,-6. On the upside, a bogie free event, which is very rare for me. Maybe top 25, but doubtful. Really enjoyed the course, thereโs certainly a few low scores out there. Best of luck to those left to play.
