To say the greens are unplayable is a bit extreme. They are tough and they can penalize a poor shot severely, but they are far from unplayable.
I’m not sure what anyone can do about the Heavy Rough that is invisible. I guess there is always something to complain about

If it’s impossible to stop a ball when hitting from a higher tier, that’s unplayable. I went back in after my 4 rounds, and tried again to stop it from a higher tier. We’re not allowed to chip on greens, so what are we supposed to do? As I said I had one pretty much stop on top of the ridge, trickle down then pickup speed, fly straight over the hole and down another tier, then 30m further. Tell me, what shot should I have played being as I’ve established it could not have rolled over the edge any slower?
The mistake you made leaving heavy rough on a fairway cost me a shot, but that’s ok, it was a mistake. The greens are deliberate, and ridiculous.

You are right. I intentionally left that heavy rough there just for you. I hope you lose by one stroke

This is an accident that happens when using brushes to make fairways or to fill fairways, because sometimes the brushes appear to cover everything, but there can be a small "gap" where they overlap and the game reads it as the base texture (heavy rough). This has been mostly alleviated with the filled splines feature on TGC2019. And just for the record, my rage quit had nothing to do with your course design. I actually really liked it a lot, but I am sick and tired of being bad at this game, and somewhere around the 27th hole of this tournament I had seen enough and I lost my mind. But I repeat, that is NOT a commentary on your design at all, it is 100% due to ME.

It’s *lose, lol, and aren’t you just a bit precious???
Just tell me what shot I should play on a green with slopes so severe that you can’t stop it from one tier to another, or upload a vid of you showing that it in fact IS possible to stop it under the course conditions played - I look forward to seeing what I should have done.
It’s hard to critique a course when the designer won’t listen to criticism, or understand plain English. Can only hope this course is never used again.
Thanks Eric, appreciate it 👍

Dont hit it there? You never did say where this problem area is that was so unfair. I believe you though, there are bad places to miss. Places where you might have to get creative. It's not for everyone and that's fine. I'm over it.
I'm glad some enjoyed it

It was multiple greens. Hitting a green shouldn’t mean that your next shot is impossible, that’s just stupid and in my opinion very poor designing - it shouldn’t be rewarded with a spot on the 3rd top tour when there are so many good courses to play. Who knows, maybe if the greens were slowed down it would be possible to putt from one tier down to another?
If you can’t show me that it’s possible to hit down the slopes and stop it, maybe whoever rangered it can?

Hitting a green shouldn’t mean that your next shot is impossible, that’s just stupid and in my opinion very poor designing Sounds like the 9th at Augusta - hit the wrong tier and putt downhill and you're 40 yards off the green - but we can all agree that's a dogs breakfast of a course too right

Wowee. That’s drawing a fairly long bow don’t you think? Have you played the course? It’s more than one green. The 9th at Augusta is possible to hold, you only go off the green with a bad putt. Remember Erin Hills that boomer made? Everyone whinged that it wasn’t possible to keep it on his greens, and he uploaded a video showing it WAS possible. I used the same method, and had one fly over the hole. If you hit it from a lower level up a tier to almost the top, it will roll back behind you, down a tier and accelerate off the green - showing that no matter how slow you roll it over the edge, it won’t stop.

enjoyed the course, had to take time to consider approach shots. Get it right land next to hole, slightly out and battling for par. No problem with that, all part of the challenge of golf. Maybe my ball landed in better areas than some, I had no issue with any recovery shots. Play them well and save the par. get it wrong, bogey. The same on any course. -7,-8,-7 and -5 ( I think ) 5 bogeys recorded too I think. Happy with that, best 4 rnds so far on the Web Tour.

The logic here cracks me up. Player hits a bad approach, course is a 2 star. Seems like a fair critique. Any time you need help understanding basic English, let me know, k champ?Edit - wasn’t a bad shot when I found your little patch of rough on a fairway either 👌🏻 Dude, chill. It's a game and what you just said isn't cool. Unhappy with the course? Say your piece politely if you want and then move on, it was just a tournament. Whether you are happy or not. The course was fine and the slopes too. And that's my opinion. I actually really enjoyed. P. S. Hope my basic English is fine for you, otherwise please let me know and maybe you can help me out and edit for me champ.

What’s it got to do with you what I say or do? Mind your own business. I said my piece, and Mr. Mouthbreather designer couldn’t understand plain English. Doyley wanted to have his say so I replied to him. Not my fault you guys can’t understand a simple complaint. That you thought the course was ok just shows you also have no idea.
