I remember last year TGCT drama was put into a premiere golf magazine around this time. Let's do it again! I know this is terrible of me, but I NEED to know more about this! is there a link I can follow?

I think you should end the debate. Who's is more accurate? If anyone knows you do. It won't help with the TGCT event, but the debate will be ended in 1-2 months when the LiDAR version is published. Yeah, Lidar sucks. I’d just like to share with everyone something my Grandfather taught me many, many years ago.... Doing something faster isn’t always better. True then, true now. -------------- Note to mods: I think I had a reply to this comment that might have been removed. That user mentioned "the forums", where the forums were the official forums. The context is that the second part of my message is from a user on the other forum that is very anti-lidar. I hope that user eventually tries and provides constructive feedback to the lidar courses. I couldn't resist this opportunity to poke fun at myself. I think clv's courses are excellent and hope to support a lidar version if he chooses to create one.

I think you should end the debate. Who's is more accurate? If anyone knows you do. For what it's worth, other than the 14th green, I'm very proud of how close Magnolia is. It would be a shame if it wasn't close after studying and working on it since Dec 2014. More seriously, thank you for these courses. They have been my favorites for a long time now. Anything you ever need, just ask.

You know, if each tour got to play the Masters, you could use all versions. IE, CC Pro Masters, Beginners Tour Masters, etc, etc. 😉😁

After playing Magnolia national (tour) it is a magnificent course. Playing last year's location would a huge step backwards and completely ruin the experience for all playing as there is no single category that last year's version is better than this version.

Appreciate the response. Lidar my ass. It's B smooth. What is this LiDAR version?

Having played all your versions as well as Royce's version, I have always enjoyed theclv24's versions better. Yes they tended to play easier, except the second year in TGC 1 where it was maxed out conditions. TGC 1 didn't always translate well in max conditions. My point is that they were playable and when you would hit a shot, that you have seen pros play hundreds of times, the ball would react the same way coming off a particular slope. Royce's version lacked that, especially on holes like #16.
This new version is quite stunning. I think it accurately gives the feel of being able to put good shots near the hole but it also incorporates the true speed of those greens. In particular I remember #15 being on the right side of the green and having to putt down the slope to pin position #4. I tried that putt multiple times and just like in RL, getting it close is near impossible. Every time I saw the pros hit it, they'd either be off the green or 15+ feet past the hole. That is how fast that putt is. One thing I am grateful for is that theclv24 decided to give a light rough in front of #15's green. Also the slope of the green is more correct in this version. Last year I remember so many people putting from above the hole and it rolling all the way into the water.
Well done on this version, it is the best one yet!

You can {be quiet}.......... just like I told you last year about this same time in the ranger forum (boohoo you didn't shoot -67 whaaaaaaaaaa...... )
If you have a specific problem with my course (not that I care, the 17 minutes you've actually thought about Augusta National means literally nothing to anyone, you truly are an idiot) I would love for you to draw out exactly how you feel 16 green should play (I've asked this before and nobody would ever provide the "correct" green sloping...... Again I expect nothing productive back but I've made my feelings known about what a **** you truly are.
Cheers, Royce

Both are fantastic renditions of the course. I tried to recreate a course I took part in building IRL and didn’t really pull it off. So the fact that there’s 2 versions this accurate is great. For me depends on How I’m feeling that day. Magnolia is a little easier and you get a lot of opportunity to hit all those famous shots over the years. If I’m feeling like a challenge Augusta ‘18, plays very similar, the greens are just a little trickier and you have to be more precise. Not sure how anyone could be overly critical of either.
