Well after back to back runner ups, losing by 1 shot, not in the mix this week. Managed a -34, pretty happy with that and the course was phenomenal, so no complaints. Gotta say reebdoog is probably my favorite designer but never seem to be able to go super low on his courses (probably 1 reason I love the tracks). Best of luck for those left to play. My over/under on the winning score is -42.5. What do you think over or under. PS4 leader is -38 right now, but think there’s something lower out there

Don’t want to be a negative Nancy, but I’m sick of every course being Augusta like in its elevation changes. Augusta is revered because it’s special, but we play courses with crazy elevation changes week in week out on the top tours.
I’ve played golf for 20 years and never played a tee shot with a 100ft dropoff.
This is a well made course by a great designer, I’m not criticising the course so much as the selection. If we played a course like this once or twice a year it would make it special, as it is it’s just another week.
On a positive note, I’ll be whinging down on CC soon 👌🏻

Elevation change is one of the best ways to challenge players in this game.
This is video game golf; I don't care whether it's truly realistic. I don't have to walk it.

Over the course of a season we play many different types of courses over a season. Looking back over what we have played so far this season, there is maybe 4 or 5 courses with big elevation changes. Which is not that many considering, variety has always been important to me on the web and looking at the courses we have coming over the next few weeks, there are different courses with a wide variation in settings and conditions. Elevation changes is just one of the challenges I like to put in front of the webbers, next week is about making sure you dont miss fairways and greens. In a couple of weeks, its all about approach shot accuracy and after that, the weather will be the main challenge. But primarily I picked courses that are fun to play, and I think this complaint is the first I got all season about the courses used so I most be doing something right. This is not the pga, most people here play for the fun of playing a game.

This course is enormously fun to play, IMO.

I really enjoyed the course as well, except for that one time my ball bounced from the center of the fairway down the slope and out of bounds, and that other time (on the same hole) my ball landed in the left rough and bounced all the way across and into the light rough on the right.
My Fast/Fast tempo game was really good for most of the week. It was a lot of fun riding some of the tailwinds.

I'm glad my rounds are done. I played several practice rounds. The fact my controller is still in tact is a miracle (sarcasm).
Some of the pins are just ridiculous. Rounds 3 and 4. There are 2 par 3's with not only extremely tough pins to get within 20 feet, but then there's nowhere to play to without putting up or across yellow and red slopes. I think it's a par 5 where there is a spine that runs up the right of the green with the hole on top of it. I have a 12 foot putt or so from the right side of the spine. I miss by an inch left. The ball is breaking right, then takes to the other side of the spine, breaking left and downhill. Another 12 foot putt. Tough greens like this, fine. But then you mix in how many times my 2nd shot from the fairway was on red and yellow slopes. I played several practice rounds trying to find spots that set up the easier approach. It didnt help my 3 year old is being kept up all night by new neighbors moving in at 11pm on a weeknight. Frustration level was high!! (Bonus, they stacked trash next to my car which eventually pushed over our giant municipal trash cans and dented my car door).
We should have courses like this once in awhile on tour. It felt like a victory shooting E and -7 in the last 2 rounds.
Respect for dude who made the course with tons of slopes and elevation changes without much odd looking terrain.

sorry you didn't have fun. Appreciate the fact you could appreciate it for what it was. It's located in Iceland and was meant to be a bit wild so...mission accomplished.

The cleanest missed cut you’ll ever see! I love this course, and thought it played great at these conditions. I’m SO close to these scores being far better, I just have to stop edging so many putts!

Elevation change is one of the best ways to challenge players in this game. This is video game golf; I don't care whether it's truly realistic. I don't have to walk it. Not sure how. 150m with 10m elevation plays 160. 150m with 10m dropoff plays 140m. If you understand that the figure you’re looking at is carry distance not total rollout, it shouldn’t be hard. The math is slightly harder playing imperial rather than metric, but it’s not rocket science or metal finishing... On the rare occasions I get P/P approaches I have a tap in about 90% of the time.

Not every course has to be "fun" and definitely no need to apologize. Like I said, good to mix in a course like this, I think. There's a difference between tough pins because I found the toughest spot on the green, and tough because I planned out the approach and stuff. I think it's the latter. It's not a bad course by any means.

I hope I didn’t offend with my earlier comment. I do genuinely like this course. I’d love to see it as one of maybe 3 really mountainous courses we play each year. I’ve also only played a handful of events since XMas, both on Euro and here - maybe I’ve just struck a lot with the weeks I’ve played. Anyway, keep up the great work, this got a rare 5 stars from me, most get 4 from me to make a 5 more special. Is Boomer still about and designing? I know he was polarising, but he made some nice tracks.

Not offended at all! Folks can enjoy what they want man. :-) if I got bummed from folks who get frustrated or vent then I’d have stopped making stuff a long time ago.

I just didn't like 14 with firm terrain and the OOB. It sucked to hit the fairway and end up back at the tee hitting 3.
Maybe just a little more rough between the edge of the fairway and the start of that cliff.
