You can always just do the osm by itself after (flat course option at bottom of osm) and it will put it on your LiDAR elevation.

Thank you, Chad. FYI, I did the OSM myself. I’m really looking forward to working on this course.

Ok guys, here's a new one. This only happened when I tried to use the import lidar trees function. Any ideas? [img src="https://i.imgur.com/q8KDEMu.png" src=" " alt=" "]

What version of the software do you have? 0.2.2?
The course exports take A WHILE now. So you'll need to completely wait when you export the course. The course will go into static while it's writing, then when the image of the course comes back, it should be ready now. Maybe this is the problem?

Maybe so. I’ll try again in the morning. Thank you again for all of your help. You’re too kind.

Just an update from this morning. I tried again to import the lidar trees and continued to get the same network error message, so I just abandoned that option and moved forward creating the course. I'm not good at planting, which is why I was hoping to import the trees to help. At this point I'm just going to take it one step at a time and do the best job I can at capturing the essence of the course. It's probably going to take me several weeks to finish this. It will be a good learning experience for me for sure. Thanks again for all the help.

Chad,
Just wanted to give a quick update. I restarted the process as you suggested and also used the latest release of the program and it worked beautifully. It imported all the lidar trees and didn't use up too much of my resources. I did a fair amount of work on the previous version yesterday, but in the long run this is going to be much better. Thank you so much for your help. What you've done and continue to do for the community is nothing short of amazing.
