Start of a new tournament. Take some time with this one folks. It can be very rough if you get silly with your course management. Plenty of opportunities here and plenty of holes that Par is more than an acceptable score.
Prediction: Winner is -40 or less.

-8 -4
-12
I don't know. Course and greens aren't easy. I haven't played well but there are quite a few holes out there where we won't see many birdies. I wait and see. Maybe -12 has a chance to make the cut.

I'm thinking the cut could be as low a -8 to -10.

-7 -8 -10 -7 = -32 this week. Honestly, I just hope for a top 10. It's not the easiest course for sure and I played well overall, but I think someone will get to -40. I could easily be wrong, but that's just my early opinion.

Really tried to play this one smart and hopefully clear another demotion mark but not sure I did it.
Round 1 (-7) Round 2 (-7)
Not sure -14 makes the cut but I guess we will see. Great course though.

What a strange game it can be...1st round no luck and almost no chances for a -3. Played the 2nd round right after and created a chance on most holes and scored on alot of them for a -11.

Great course, the original post calling out the need for course management is spot on. It's gettable in spots, and requires a lot of respect in other spots. Pick your spots wisely, be prepared to hit a few lengthy and/or bendy lag putts. I feel like this course is very well balanced and the conditions chosen are perfectly on that line where it plays just the right amount of difficulty. Any faster and it would be US open style conditions, but with the very firm greens yielding that big first bounce, it's no slouch with 16X greens.
Shot -9/-10 for -19 (EDIT: Mis-remembered -20 yesterday) at the cut. I played VERY well to put up these scores, which is a nice change of pace as I've played kind of flat in recent weeks. Did not play last week due to a trip to Las Vegas, I think the time away served me well...although it did not serve my bank account well.
I think the cut will be -12, give or take a stroke.
For the 3rd time in my TGC tours career I chipped on a green. A par 5 in round 2, I forget exactly which hole. Not due to distance; the putt-line would have required a putt through the protruding fringe/fairway, arguably the rough even further left. One of those where the further up into the hill you hit it the more it would have broken so you could make an argument for any number of default putt lines, the key being that none of them would have involved a line that stayed on the green for the length of the putt. I was only able to get it to 11 ft though so I might have been better off trying to putt through the fairway haha.
