World Cup Qualifier Round 3 (scores so far)
Johnny Bollocks -28 Marc Van Niekerk -24 David Stevenson -21 Travis Sailer -17 Hunter Butler -15 Glen Henderson -15 Jim McCarthy -12 Jeff Greene -5 (R2) Simon Morris -1 (R2)
Johnny, Marc and David lead the way after 3 rounds and are looking good for qualification. Five strokes separate the next 4 players who are jockeying for the other 2 places. But with only 2 rounds played Jeff and Simon can put themselves in the mix with a good 3rd round.

Playing with Masters is definitely a handicap and disadvantage I agree as I inadvertently used them on my 3rd round this week and came in at even par. The 2 rounds before that I hit -6 and -10, but if you do well with them in the Promotion Event you can get up to the Pro Tours.

Ya...I was in Euro...demoted to Web..then just basically rage demoted back to CC over 3 tournaments. Master clubs are all I use..I just played a round with Pro's and it felt like I was cheating

But it's all down to if you can put up with it if you want to go back up again. Or just play well next week.

Me playing Arctic Fury's Scarlet (The Harlot) Inn.................. I finished -17...carded a 67 in the 4th round (with Masters)...rd 2 bit me in the ass. Actually being the only qualifier using masters the whole way bit me in the ass

I find I typically score about the same with both Pro and Master clubs, but I enjoy using the Pro clubs more. Less frustrating with tempo. I feel like my tempo is fairly robotic and with the Pro clubs, I probably get 90-95% P/P and with Masters, maybe 50%. My scores typically come out similar, though. I shot 4 practice rounds with Pro clubs and 4 with Masters on Magnolia a couple weeks back and finished at -14 with the Pro clubs and -15 with the Masters. If you can recover well from the rough, the length advantage with the big sticks is significant. You can reach a lot of greens in 2 that you can't reach with Pros, but a lot probably depends on the course as well. The game is just more fun for me with Pro and since I gave up becoming obsessed with reaching the PGA and just settled in as a CC player (I also prefer the CC conditions, being able to see the wind speed, etc.) it's been a more enjoyable experience.

My variance is very different with Pros vs Masters. I can routinely hit -10 to -14 with Pros on a lot of courses where I am in the -5 to -7 range on average with Masters. The best 4 round total I've ever hit with Masters was a -32 in Q-School to land my Euro card. I've yet to play 4 complete rounds in tournament play with Pros but feel I'd be in the -40 range on most courses. The only time I can't get P/P with Pros is on chips. I hit P/P with Masters routinely in the 85-90% range If I could putt I'd still be in Euro. Putting has always been my Achilles heel in this game

World Cup Qualifier Final Scores Marc Van Niekerk -36 David Stevenson -32 Johnny Bollocks -31 Glen Henderson -26 Travis Sailer -25 ________________________ Hunter Butler -23 Jeff Greene -21 Jim McCarthy -17 Simon Morris -7
The top 5 will now go into the World Cup Finals and will be allocated their group going by their WGR. Commiserations to the 4 players who didn't make it, I hope you have a successful and get to where you want to be. If I run another event in the future I hope you will join it, if available of course.

Couldn't get anything going in the first 3 rounds but rebounded nicely in the 4th. Still not enough. Good luck to those that made it!

I'm so confused - this did not started until the 21st right? how can there be scores in from the 19th or am I in the wrong thread LOL
