My goal is to play rounds 2, 3, and 4 tonight because it's pretty much the last chance I have this week.

Thanks Frans. Definitely felt comfortable on this course. Being in position and nothing worrying/distracting you makes putting firmly and confidentally (my achiles heel!) feel more achievable.
Amazing how it varies. We had merion east for our euro course, and i really struggled with it. It's a surprisingly short course! but fiddly and easy to get out of position on. I practiced on the wrong course! The versions are almost identical, but it threw me off at the start and i had a disastrous first few holes. Think i was +3 after 5! It was over almost as soon as it started. And as soon as you're not making birdies, fighting for pars or, god forbid, getting bogies, that achiles heel comes into view!

I don't so much feel that I've got "better" over the last 2-3 months of playing loads, it's more consistency. And even there I still want to improve a lot! The moment I drop back on a round, it can go wrong in a hurry! The only "tip" I can think of is getting your short game down; and that one is as much about saving par from green fringes and bunkers than making birdie. And again, not worrying much about missing par saves makes me more aggressive going for birdies... Anyway condescending post over!

First time this week with masters that I played and felt like I controlled the round and not the other way around. I had only one VF swing and 'got away with it'. Missed 3 very makeable putts and still had a -6. I am getting closer to the 'old Bill'.
Leon, as Frans said, you are on fire, and Avery, if he survives Frans, has a big task to beat you.

I sent you guys (Frans and Leon) a PM this morning. Nothing needs to be done at this point. I just did not want to forget about it.

Round 2: -5
Holy moly that was a grinder.
UPDATE: I just saw the scores and realized that the 40 foot putt for eagle on 18 moved me on to the next phase. Holy moly.

Looks like my -4 for the 2nd rd means that i just miss out on going into phase 3. It was "Closer" than what I thought it would be. Scored -7 for rd 3. "Isn't it a pity" that wasn't my score for the 2nd rd. Have we got to "Go on the Campaign Trail" to get picked for a team, or will good old fashioned "Little Bribes do ££ $$ "1 Nine Inch Nails" "2 George Harrison" "3 The Automatic" "4 Death Cab For Cutie"
