Lets just start with me saying i didn't like the course at all. It made me want to strangle a baby.
I tried my hardest during the two rounds i played and while i managed to make a birdie here and there and even one eagle, i still managed to make a complete mess of a lot of the holes.
R1: 68 (-2) R2: 78 (+8)
MC.
Felt more like a U.S. Open course but that may be down to me being terrible at this game.
Anyway, good luck everyone!

I absolutely loved the challenge of my casual rounds on this course when it was released. But for this event I must have dropped 30 or so f- and c-bombs, funny how your perspective can change when the results matter...
Scored -22 total or thereabouts I think, currently drinking to forget this event ever happened.
Best of luck all - just play solidly without making any mistakes and you can score pretty low on this course.

This is the monthly difficult course. Strategy here is a little different than most grip and rip and pin hunting. Not saying it's better or worse...just different.
After coming in 2nd to last the week before, my goal is just to finish the first two rounds under par

Course was fine (Difficult yes, but no issues with that)
My golf wasn't however - no clue on tempo (I can probably count the number of P/P shots on one hand (and most of them were when aiming for F/F!), and couldn't hit the blue either to save my life - not a good combo here.
Very consistent(ly crap) in my scores though - think it was 67 (-3) every round.
Losing interest fast.....so then played TST - and that made it even worse (sh%$ course, all rounds on the same joke pinset)
Total waste of a Sunday.

I thought this was a stunning course to look at, the tees and fairways were majestic. However, when you've got 180-210y approaches that you can't stop the ball on, it gets monotonous. In addition to that there were numerous flags which reminded of crazy golf, the Ant Hill kind. Even when the green gradients seemed like the ball should filter towards the pin, it stopped at the very top and didn't roll backwards. I think the only one that did was Rd 1, hole 2. This was definitely a US Open type course. I played okay, I think I bimbled to a -21/22. I can't remember the specifics π€ππ€

I used to love putting on 187 greens, but this was by far the worst I've putted on any surface over 72 holes that I can remember. Felt like I made maybe 5 of 20 from 7-15 ft. A shame too, I think I struck it OK and managed the course well. Would probably lead in GIR for the week if I wasn't putting from the green back to the fringe on 5 or 6 holes. The sooner I forget this tournament happened the better
Edit: I just signed on to Netflix and they are now recommending something called Losers. I guess news travels fast that I am sucking

Same boat as previous posters. Struck ball well, probably most consistent this year but didnβt get much to show for it. Felt like something was lost in translation on the greens. They felt slow on approach and like ice putting. So many would hang or creep to a stop. Not what I expected. -7,-3,-6,-6 for -22 . Really think -10 could squeak by the cut. Fun course but could have been better if greens rolled out true. Good luck.

Not sure what all the complaints are about, I thought it was really well designed. I for one thoroughly enjoy hitting to an putting on greens resembling the M6 northbound between Stafford and Stoke πππ

That'll be the narrow downhill section of the motorway then?

Played some of my best golf on the PGA yet this season. Think I was in the -25 to -27 range. Get rid of the 2-3 water balls I had as well as some poor tempos at the worst times and I could have been mid 30s I think. I'm definitely more relaxed when I don't feel the need to birdie and enjoyed the strategy. Nice to have to think about positioning your shots rather than bomb it down the middle and pin hunt every hole. Greens were a touch fast, but otherwise this is one of the best "difficult" courses out there.

-14 thru 2. Should make the cut, so happy about that after my insanely bad play last week.
