OK, this seem like it should be basic but it is getting frustrating....... I want a smooth gradual slope that runs between my tee box and fairway. I have tried to use the Landscape Flatten brush on page 1, top upper right hand corner and the brush on page 4 top upper left hand corner and nothing seems to do the trick. Here are 3 slightly different views. Any help? Thank you.

Koop- This is something I struggle with as well that the elite designers seem to have mastered. My way is to keep using the soft brush (either circle or oval) slowly down the slope (click each time, do not click and hold). Watch your smoothing from the side of the slope so you can see how far to move the brush out each click (usually I overlap about half of the previous click). And then just do this all the way down the hill, then start at the top and repeat down and repeat down until it's smoothed out. From the images, a slope this long may take about 50+ smoothing clicks to get a gradual slope.
This may work until an elite guy comes on here and tells us it's a terrible or slow method to do this

I really appreciate you taking the time to help. Thanks again.

don't click and hold. You have to eyeball it. You can't just click over and over or move a little and click.. you'll have to adjust the height a little bit as you go and eyeball it.
My biggest advice? Don't move UPHILL. ALWAYS move downhill when you are doing this. Going uphill just doesn't work as well.
Raise = Up Flatten = Down
That's my rule of thumb. I know I have this in a video somewhere maybe on youtube or twitch but it's not a stand alone it's just mixed in.

Appreciate both of you help. Cheers!

Great advice, but unless I'm being dumb, each new click would need to be MORE down right? As in if it was -5, it now needs to be -6 or -7 or -10 or whatever?

Not at all. In fact you may have to raise slightly. You see, flattening goes to the median height of the brush so it really depends on where you put the center of the brush.

Now that I definitely don't get! Haha...
But I can try what was originally advised and see what happens...

I use the long (oval) soft brush and turn it sideways. Like Reeb said, I go down if I'm flattening or raising.

One more question what is the difference between The Landscape Flatten brush on page 1, top upper right hand corner and the brush on page 4 top upper left hand corner?
The brush on page 1 has a hole in the middle, where the brush on page 4 doesn't..... why?

Anything shaded is kind of equalized or averaged whereas anything in the 'hole' is actually flattened, raised, or whatever you have selected.

If I use the landscape flatten brush on page 1, top upper right hand corner, the one with a whole in it, and I enlarge it so the hole is big enough to cover the space I want to flatten or drop by 1 foot, the shaded are around the hole will be equalized? Kind of "blend" in the with hole?

Kind of "blend" in the with hole? Exactly. Sometimes you have to do it more than once to get what you want. Like raise 5 feet, click, then lower 5 feet, click again. Til the shaded area looks like you want it. I'm far from an expert but happy to share what I do know if it might help someone

Bit of a learning curve though
