Hover putt heaven. Lovely looking course. Greens were unplayable for me. Must have had 8-10 hoverputts. Well done. 👌 Played like a twat and lost interest after that sh%$ par 5 downhill where my ball mysteriously decided to dive into the water despite being downhill, downwind and within reach on a fast/perfect swing. Oh well. Good luck all. I’ve never liked that 8th hole, even on the original. Be curious if it plays over par this week.

You guys are ridiculously good! I wasn’t expecting this to be a birdie-fest. I’m not sure how to make a course that you guys don’t shoot 55 on (of course, we all know how ‘stupid’ a course becomes if you can’t break 60). Haha
I redesigned hole 8 completely so that it’s a lot more fair, so I’m surprised it’s still hated. That’s the proper quarry hole now!
Enjoy guys, really appreciate Dale putting it on tour for you.

Just not a fan of how sloped it is. The layup isn’t fair either. Not your fault but it was an abomination to set the greens at 144. I’m not sure if our flight needs to establish a union but these greens should be completely outlawed. They don’t allow for good physics in this game. Don’t give me the volunteer BS either. I’ll happily tell whoever to never use 144 greens. We just want to play a golf game. Not a velcro toss at the carnival. Just passing though to collect my check and FedEx points as R2 put me in a sour mood. Have a nice night.

Layup isn’t fair? Haha, okay. 😜 I mean you can’t always go for the green in very high head winds. On a double red slope with a tough cross wind it shouldn’t be such a challenge to get from the tee shot landing tier to the next tier. Probably a little Tiger Woods fantasy-esque but that’s just me. If you want me to tell you it’s awesome, it’s awesome.

LOL, I’m just bantering with you, I’m not upset or anything, and I certainly don’t need your approval on my designs. 🤣😂🤣
All you guys know is shooting at flags and scoring -16, so if some elevation change and shot strategy makes it too fantasy, I can’t help you. Haha

Well sometimes course management is necessitated. Either way I’ll be okay. Only a game.
More importantly how’d everything go with your son?
I’m hoping okay given you are on the forums?

His transplant went well, he’s recovering in the hospital and doing pretty good, just dealing with some bumps in the road today, hopefully nothing that turns major.
My wife stays with him 24/7 and I visit during the day and then come home to be with the bigger kids at night. This community has been great at keeping my mind busy. Plus I’m a forum whore, so I’m pretty much always on here. 😉
Thanks for asking, I appreciate it.
And in all seriousness, I’m not upset about any feedback on the course, whether good, bad, or indifferent. It’s all just banter cuz I don’t know how you PGA guys do it. It’s a game I’m unfamiliar with. 👍🏻

Terrific course Eric, appreciated the challenge.
Don’t mind Mitch, clearly he can’t play on slow greens 😉. Not a complete player.

Abysmal -7 in the first round thanks to a double on the 2nd hole which resulted in me playing angerspeedgolf for the rest of the round. Round 2 I was absolutely flying, -15 through 13 thanks in part to a ridiculous thunderc*ck albatross (would have been off the green if it didn't hit the pin!) but followed that up with a bogey on the next hole to finish on a still solid -17 for R2. Final 2 rounds were appalling, think I had 4 water balls total in this event, so ended up on -43 which will probably have me in the bottom half of the pack.

I think hole 8 is a fun hole. Lost of ways to play it. Plus the other par 5s are reachable, they don't all need to be easy birdies.
Anyway all the shots where the pin was up front or it would be a challenge to stop the ball also had some sort of backstop you could use to roll back to the hole. I liked that, but it made the actual target for mid iron shots much bigger than it looked. And with reachable par 5s, a reachable par 4, and other par 4s that are basically drive + pitch there's not much way for a designer to protect par. You did a good job of throwing risk of water balls and bogey or double onto various holes to balance it out IMO.
Playing the greens firmer would definitely change this course a lot in terms of difficulty, but that's on the setup not really on the design

Well, what a mong... I really shouldn't complain about being -39 thru 3, but I have wasted some chances. R1, just assumed it would be another one of those tourneys. Playing well but got on the par train 8-11 where i continued to leave myself pin high and right, so had massive breaks to deal with, at least I didn't get any slow backswings. Couple of eagles on the back 9 tidied things up, but 100% GIR and 26 putts tells the story. -12 R2, set of well again and took advantage of the 144's, SMASHING putts in. Not many complaints, apart from missing meat and drink chances for bird and eagle up 17 and 18 respectively left me feeling a little deflated. -13 Feeling tired, and knowing I needed to take 31 off the card in the remaining 36 holes, I considered not bothering with R3... but Thor's Hammer was hot for the 144's, so on I went. Went well. Eagle up the last would see me tied for the lead after 3. Nice drive (P/F)... Need the same again to set up the eagle chance... VF which left me in the heavy, with a red up slope, short and left. Played the wrong shot. Went for a slow backswing flop and it flew over the flag and 44ft away down a big slope. 3 stabbed it -14 FFS Anyhow, I'll try to re-calibrate for the 187s and have a go at finishing up tonight, but need the round of my life to be in with a chance from 3 back. Great course Eric. I really enjoy playing it. 144's are a bit mad, and cock up any sort of putt from distance, especially downhillers as you just get auto-hover, but I'll not complain. That's not the design. I was just lucky enough to get it fairly close and smash em in.

In at -48 course was good setup was poor. Moderate vfast, firm moderate. I think the magical api crack pipe was getting passed round again. Numerous shanked putts inside 10ft straight left. With some squirty right ones thrown in.more slows than you can shake a stick at cost me a really good number. Getting used to brand new pad so bear with it and smile. Give it a few months and theyll be telling me to buy another one because im too consistent with it no doubt. Even though i was nowhere near the top of gir and proximity to the hole last week and just had a 68%long putt accurracy and get flagged cos i swung it consistently well. Not straight but well. Will make my piss itch until flick2k19 comes out. Good luck all this week and nice track eric. #kevinbacon4president!
