Welcome to the grand (public) opening of the Kiko Islands Resort!
In the southeastern corner of the Indonesian archipelago, tucked in an oceanic valley nestled between a few dormant (we hope) volcanos, sits the Kiko Islands Resort, a private getaway created by the Dirty Ankle Mafia, one that will prove fit for a herd of goats. Using land discovered by pilot and aviation expert Curtis Cockerill on one of his international joyrides and subsequently purchased with siphoned grant money originally awarded to chemist Dan Griffith for his research into synthetic goat sperm and animal mutation, this twisted brain-child of a vacation spot was built exclusively for TGC Tours golfers and designers alike as a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of chasing that elusive fake money title and #1 WGR spot that nobody will actually pry from the bionic Dualshock4 hands of Bradley Garcia.
Guests of the resort will be flown in on one of the resort's two Grumman G44 Widgeons, the aircraft made famous in the 70s tv series Fantasy Island. The fleet is owned by Captain Terry Grayson, and chartered under the network of We're Coming In Hot, B%&es airlines. After absorbing one hell of a runway durability test, or landing as Terry refers to it, guests can unload their luggage and head over to the hotel to check in. One of the disrespectful gobhar attendants would be happy to shuttle guests around the main resort area in a golf cart if the visitor is too lazy to walk 60 yards to the front door. Once registered and checked into their rooms, guests are invited to spend some time exploring the islands, as there is much more to see than just the exquisitely manicured golf course (the only one in the world with grass fully maintained by goats). However, exercise good judgement -- many people never make it back from Treewood's Surf Bar, as the Fritsch-a-ritas, Pithycoladas, Captain & Cockerills, Nesbit Bombs, Ciboch's Island IPAs, and Terry's Tropical Punch are all WAY more potent in the middle of nowhere than under the confines of alcohol restrictions back in the states.
In celebration of the resort’s completion, the Dirty Ankle Mafia will debut this 3,401-yard par 3 golf course on The Goat Ranch on Monday, February 18th, along with special guests Kent Shaffer and Greg Fordyce from the TGC Course Review show. The course has one tee location, featuring holes as short as 123 yards and as long as 366 yards, with two extremely challenging pin locations on each green, one dubbed "Pins Gone Wild" and the other labeled the "Barely Legal" pin set. All six members of the DAM design group will be on hand in the stream to answer questions about the project, and to share what it's like to design collab courses 'successfully' in TGC2019. As an added bonus, the DAM members will also be introducing the community scoring contest, which runs from February 24th through March 2nd in the newly-created Dirty Ankle Mafia societies on each console. The contest will feature cash prizes for select goals, and a highly-coveted grand prize that everyone is definitelynot going to fight over!
We'll see you at the Kiko Islands Resort very soon!
