It was basically at the same time but he was a ghost so . . . there has to be some small difference. HOWEVER - I was looking at the wrong strawdog there seems to be 2 of them LOL strawdog7 and strawdog56 so THAT issue is taken care of.
Oddly ubernato is ALWAYS 100% of the time the top guy when getting to the GHOST screen which is great! Not sure when he plays his rounds but I play one round a day for the tour and he is always on top, Which is just an oddity.

The wind reading for ghosts and replays, which are obviously related, is borked but the in-game wind conditions are fine, so it's nothing to worry about. Any time I save a replay and watch it the wind is different, the game just either records it or displays it wrong when it's a replay. I've had a few awesome approaches in 25mph+ winds that I wanted to save purely because of judging the wind so well, but the replay shows the wind as completely different so it's pointless.
So yes there's a bug but it's only visible on replays and only relates to the reading, there is no actual advantage or disadvantage to players because of it. The easiest way to see that the wind is the same for every player on the global TGCT societies is to watch Twitch footage of the same event. I'm usually the first to play the PGA rounds and I often watch Canuck stream his later in the day and his winds have always been the same as mine.

LOl. FUBR is way way too strong. F’d Up Beyond Reason And I apologize for using that. I believe it has to be a replay glitch where the wind in the replay is not accurate. We all know what a replay shows is not really close to what actually happens. If you sit and wait the wind will oscillate back and forth as much as 90 degrees (out of 360 total), so your opponent waited and/or you did a different amount of time.
On very low winds it will YOLO around in a circle and without reason.
So winds are within a range (90 degrees unless very low speed) in direction and they also vary 2-3 mph as well.
Still, the winds are pretty close. If there were no global winds, then it would be completely different for everyone and we would be back to season 1 wind waiting again.
The slight variations keep someone from pretty much copying anothers' round as well if they wanted to.

I’m surprised it’s as much as 90 degrees. This is enough to wait for better winds. Should be more like 45 degrees but ...... at least it’s only 90

I’m surprised it’s as much as 90 degrees. This is enough to wait for better winds. Should be more like 45 degrees but ...... at least it’s only 90 You certainly could wait for better wind. In a TGCtours round you're not holding anyone up, either. I can't think of a ton of scenarios where I care that much about the wind direction or that 90 degrees would be all that likely to improve my score on the hole, I usually just care that it doesn't change on me in the last second before I hit my shot. To be fair though, there are certainly long holes where you want to maximize distance and would want to avoid a headwind, or pins placed only a few steps over a bunker where you'd actually prefer a little wind into your face. There's no rules about pace of play in tgctours, if you're willing to wait it out; have at it. As far as ghosts go, I can say with 100% certainty because I've tested this with playing partners...when I'm playing live online with someone, the wind it is showing me while they are lining up their shot is usually not the exact wind they are seeing on their screen. I can't imagine it's more accurate for ghosts than it is for live players. I'd take the wind guage for ghosts with a huge grain of salt and assume that's probably not the exact direction they were facing. It's a safe bet that the wind speed remains reasonably consistent to your throughout the round and any perceived advantages/disadvantages are likely to net out to zero over the course of an entire round, even if the direction spins a little from one shot to the next.

Also..I think it might swing by more than 90 degrees in some cases. Maybe "Default" contains a little more variation? Maybe "Default" is actually "random"?
I say this because of an experience I recently had in an Alt-Shot event. Wind conditions were set to default. We were on hole 2 and immediately after I hit my tee shot into a fairway bunker I got a blue screen.
Upon restarting and resuming the round my teammate and I agreed to get back to where we left off, and that we would at least try to put it in the bunker as had happened the first time through. Try as we might this was not possible because the wind had gone from from a 1 o'clock wind to a 6 o'clock and the bunker was no longer reachable. We tried, failed, and it was fine we all had a laugh and moved on, there's nothing else anyone can do, but I definitely raised an eyebrow as to how the wind had flipped like that with the same settings.
I suppose it's not impossible that I'm remembering it more extreme than it was and it was really 2 to 5, which would still qualify as 90 degrees, but I'm fairly confident it was more as it immediately struck me as odd. Perhaps "Default" really means "random" and upon our complete restart we got a different wind entirely? Not a big deal, but I thought it was interesting and kind of fits with this topic.

Was this in a Society event or no? Outside of them the wind will vary much more and changes over time. In a Society event it stays within pretty close parameters no matter how long.

No it was not. I struggle to see how that would make a difference, though. The same settings options are identified, no? Either A specific compass direction or "Default"? I always assumed Default was a specific direction chosen by the designer as ideal for their course, but my theory after my alt shot experience is that it's actually just random or some dynamic/universal weather thing like in TGC1.

More variance I would guess. HB isn't very forthcoming with how many things work, so I assume there is more variance outside of Society events, even with Default.
But resuming and restarting a round are not analogous and while one could get you back to where you were (resuming), restarting may trigger a differing set of conditions (random number seed possibly, I have no idea). Default may make it more likely that you get what a designer wishes, but I don't think it is as certain as the tight window a Society round offers.

Default IS totally random (and should really be renamed as such for clarity) - there is no setting for the course designer to define any 'default' wind settings.
Default is simply how it was in TGC2 therefore - ie in the TGCT societies, it will be the same for everyone across all 3 platforms. In 'normal' societies, it will be the same for everyone in that society event. In ordinary games, it will be randomly determined every time a game is created on that course.

Concerning the OP. It’s all about the ghosts and the winds is random DISPLAYED. You can drive the all with a south wind, look at the replay and it’s from the west case closed

The only time you get the same wind is when it is set at low, med, high, or very high. Even then there is still a couple of mph discrepancy. Default winds you can have a completely different wind and direction depending on when you play. This is a hb problem not TGCTours.

If not you would seem MUCH more variation on tee shots

I don't see this as a "problem" other than that the label is a bit misleading.
