The Clementine Club
Lewisburg, PA
(The Clementine Club is a fantasy course that was sketched and planned artificially. None of this is a part of a real course.)
This Course is Dedicated to JimGem, Early1981, Nobleman, Gregfordyce, and GDog for the play throughs and showcasing my courses. I can't thank you all enough. I posted this on the HB Forums but have not posted it here.
(T) IS OF THE TOUR EVENTS IF NEEDED!
The Clementine Club, would see it's first operation in 1917 just outside of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The Course was built for the company owner Jason Gallagher of "Gallagher's Clementines", who was an all time golfer. He would invite his workers to play on his track and soon the course would be recognized as a championship course. The designer William Frownes would take on the project of building Mr. Gallagher's golf course. William frowns was the son of Henry Frownes who designed Oakmont. He finished the project in the December of 1916 and would be open for play the summer after.
Jason would later pass away October 4th, 1921. He would give his course to his company after he died. The company would make it a club in 1922. The course after becoming a club would host prestigious championship courses in the future.
Hole 1
Par 4
"Slide"
The opening hole at The Clementine Club is most likely the hardest opening hole on a golf course in the entire golf club game franchise. The hole measuring over 500 yards is all downhill with the green pitched from front to back and the green heavily contoured. The drive is definitely important here.
Hole 2
Par 4
"Hillsides"
The short par 4 is uphill and presents the player with another hard second shot. The green has a major false front and forces the player to think about shot making. The hole was mostly inspired by hole 10 at Le Golf National.
Hole 3
Par 4
"Shorty"
This hole is another short par 4 with three deep bunkers guarding the front side of the green make sure you're second shot is perfect or the chance of a bogey is much more possible.
Hole 4
Par 3
"Crest"
The uphill long par 3 is the hardest on the course. The green slopes from front to back and since the tee shot is below the green you should be happy of you walk out with par.
Hole 5
Par 4
"Tightrope"
This driveable par 4 is one of the tougher holes on the course. The thin neck of fairway leading up to the green demands accuracy. The Ideal shot on this hole is to lay up before the fairway thins out. The green is also very well contoured to test the ones who fail to drive the green.
Hole 6
Par 5
"The Gorge"
This par 5 is definently a hole that can surrender a birdie if played correctly. The second shot is crusial due to the fairway sloping to the right and the bunkers being on the right side of the fairway. Just don't have your guard down and a birdie will be waiting for you.
Hole 7
Par 3
"Slab"
At the Clementine Club this could be one of the signature designs due to the pronounced bunkers and edge of the green. The par 3 is definently difficult especially if the pin is tucked. Make sure what club your using is the right one. Make sure to look at the green before taking your shot.
Hole 8
Par 4
"Cliffsides"
This driveable hole can become difficult very fast. The bunkers thst surround the green are some of the deepest on the course and the green from the tee box slopes from fron to back. The shape of the green is very thin as well making a drive to the green very lucky.
Hole 9
Par 4
"Grace's landing"
The signature hole on the course is a tought par 4 with a well contoured green and a bunker to the right of the fairway that is shared with hole 10. This hole gives you a great view of the clubhouse as you finish your front 9.
Hole 10
Par 4
"Charge"
Being downhill and sloping down all the way to the green makes this hole play at least 40 yards shorter. Definently a breather hole and a easy way to start of yoyr back 9.
Hole 11
Par 3
"Glorious"
Another hole to remember is this long par 3. The green is the most ungelating out of any other green on the course and is guarded by bunkers on both sides. This hole is definently decieving.
Hole 12
Par 4
"Forwards"
The short par 4 has its challenges as your secon shot is hit into a punchbowl green surrounded by one large and deep bunker on the left and back. This hole is definently not an easy birdie chance.
Hole 13
Par 5
"Strangle"
The drive on this hole is probably the most important due to the bunkers on the right side. The fairway then becomes pinched as it rises up the hill to a 3 tiered green surrounded by bunkers both on the left and right.
Hole 14
Par 4
"Deadweight"
A long par 4 that has bunkers only on the right side of the fairway due to the fairway being shared with the 15th hole. The second shot is crucial due to the odd ungelations and bunker placements. Stay on your toes for this hole. This is a somewhat controversial hole and I completely understand my mistakes.
Hole 15
Par 5
"Cavalry"
The hole that sheres the same fairway with 14 is a hole you can grab a birdie on if played correctly and with an easier pin. The green is surrounded by bunkers on all sides and is multi-tiered. Make sure where your ball is going to roll on this one.
Hole 16
Par 3
"Enterance"
This mighty par 3 has a noticiable false front and bunkers that guard the left, back, and right of the multi tiered green. Behind the hole is the enterance to The Clementine Club.
Hole 17
Par 4
"Almost"
This downhill hole looks easy due to the amount of fairway bunkers but it could most likely be one of the hardest holes on the course due to the the green conplex. The green slopes from right to left dramaticslly and prefers a draw into the green. Grab this par before heading to the tough final hole.
Hole 18
Par 4
"Homestead"
This hole exceeding 500 yards is a tough finishing hole. As you get a view of the driving range on the right and and the clubhouse behind the green. Another factor to this finish is the size of the green, you need to focus on finising strong. With multiple ungelations and bumps and the green being mowed right up to the driveway makes this an easy bogey hole.
I want to thank you so much for all your support and thanks for playing.
Cheers, Dylan
