I live in the Craig Ranch neighborhood in McKinney, TX (Dallas suburb) and am wanting to do a RCR of the TPC course here. Anyone have a suggestion/recommendation for which theme to use?

I would start with either Rustic or Countryside.

Whichever has the best selection of elms. Probably countryside.

I played 72 holes over 2 days here in October last year - definitely Counteyside is your theme. The course has a burned out look and will look great in that theme.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm going to start with the countryside and see how it goes. I hope to start on it soon. I'm currently working on a RCR of the 9 hole course I grew up playing in Indiana and am almost ready to publish it. I'm hoping that experience will help me do a decent job of recreating TPC Craig Ranch. I feel pretty good about being able to get the layout and sculpting right but my planting skills need a lot of work.
P.S. csugolfer60, do you in the Dallas area?

For Texas I’d definitely go with Countryside (unless it’s a place similar to downtown San Antonio where there’s a lot of trees)

Quick update on the TPC Craig Ranch project. As I was starting to lay out the course, I found out that the routing stretches so far North and South that I had to align the course diagonally just to get it to fit into the plot. It's certainly going to be more difficult to lay out the course like this and I'm not sure how the North and South ends of the course are going to look in the background. It's a pretty tight fit into the plot, even oriented diagonally. We'll see how it looks as I get farther along.

If you move a hole so that a waypoint extends outside the plot you can make the plot bigger. It makes the file much bigger though and the sculpting becomes much less defined outside of the plot

Thank you for the tip jivesinator. I wasn't aware of that and will give it a try to see how it works.
