I should try that. Would work great for those short par 4s, too. How do you do a 90% shot? Start the downswing before you get to the top? I actually think it is easier just to pause a little more with your backswing and thus creating a Slow backswing. It takes off 10% of the distance, tho the more you pause the more it takes off. The 95% swing is nice for approach shots and yes you just are starting your downswing a hair before the top.

Just too long for 3w and too short for driver! Another option is swapping a club for the 2wood. Yeah start the downswing early, expect to be fast in your downswing and just play for that. It's pretty tough to get 90% vs 95% but it's easy to get consistent hitting that range if that makes sense. That's great for those tricky drives. I think I hit most of my fairways rd 3, mostly luck. I thank driving accuracy for my -35, seemed I was sneaking around all those bunkers. Lots of lucky bounces lol

I'm still more consistent in tempo doing that than trying to take any off my swing. I'm not so good at manipulating my tempo, but I've never practiced anything but perfect.

I was so upset about a third missed cut on Web in a row that I decided to play the promo event. What is this crap Doyley & SmilingGoats? I missed two birdies inside 10’ and also three-jacked for a bogey, so I could’ve shot -14 in R1 if I could putt! Found a lot of fairways and greens, which obviously helps.

Well that just became irrelevant very, very quickly.

Round 3 was nothing spectacular either, which further proves that being on Web and struggling to make cuts is right where I belong. Haha

Can someone do the maths... so I am currently in CC-G and I count 28 players in either CC-G or CC-Z ahead of me on the leaderboard .... I think I might be in contention to grab a spot?

Well, my warm-ups seemed fine, then I went out and pulled my tee shots on 1 and 2 left for no apparent reason looking at the cone, ended up in a fairway bunker on 4 when the wind was going left and I aimed left of it and it went dead straight into the bunker. Hit the lip on my second shot and bogeyed. Then I went over the green into the water on 5 and double bogeyed, so I'm +2 through 5 after being -21 through 2 rounds. I had a great shot and I blew it in like 2 holes.
EDIT: lol, then I lipped out an 11 footer on 7 that was supposed to break left the entire way but didn't break at all. Then I sent my eagle putt off the green on 8 and parred. Rolled off the green on 9 and then missed a 14 foot par putt by like 2 inches. Then I 3-putted from 14 feet for double bogey on 10.
No point to continuing. Good luck everyone.

Well I choked big time! Was -13 after 2 rounds and then did nothing the rest of the way. Even par on rd 3, -1 on round 4 -14 total and I won’t be going anywhere I’m afraid. Had high hopes too after those first two rounds Ah well..

Aw man that sucks. I played your ghost round 1. You were like -6 thru 5 and I was +1 thru 5 and we ended up tying at -10. What tour are you on, I'm CC-D. I had a blast playing your ghost. Ok I see you're Euro cause I finished -35. I may see you next week, if not I'll be on Web

Only like 5 PGA spots or something available, I’d have to average better than a birdie per hole at this point to make it, and that’s not happening.

Doyley said 10 spots for PGA, so I'm not sure if that changes your situation. I have been right there with you struggling. I had 3 promotion marks that I have burned away with just really substandard play and came into this pinball course and didn't even make it past 10 or so holes before I just pretty much went to speed golf.
I think you are good enough for the PGA, just got got a few bad breaks on a course that is at best a coin flip with some of the drives out there.
The really sad part is while practicing the first round I had two rounds I hit a hole in one on the first par 3.
Since my win, I have missed 4 of nine cuts but also had a 2nd, a top 10 and 13th. So I'm all over the place.

Actually just under a birdie per hole. Maybe I’ll try to finish up tomorrow if it looks like I only need like -22 over 25 holes or so.

I started out with -1 & -3 for rounds one and two. Thinking I might just sneak out of CC-Z with that.......Then the wheels fell off +5 & +4 in rounds three and four. Leaving me +5 overall. Back to the grind I go.
