Notice how few threads/posts there are in the Beginner Club Tour forum, vs. the other Tours' forums?
Odd.

Yup.
Just joined and thinking it doesn't appear very friendly.
Couple of dozen posts in 5 months.
Wanted to comment on this weeks Beginners Tour course - ridiculously difficult carnival pins.... is it really a 'Medium' difficulty course.... I did Augusta in 7-under first try .... but I'm like 20 over after 2 rounds here .......... but then I thought: why bother ?
Hehe.... and this post has had 100 views, but no replies until today.
Anyway, why are people that are scoring 10 under par on this weeks course, playing in the Beginner league ? Then I thought ... "big fish, small pond" mentality.
May also explain lack of apparent interest in socialising - maybe a little ashamed to be a mere beginner ?
Reminds me of TW Golf on the PS2 .... after about a month there were only ever 5 or 6 players online, and they were really good. The big fish scared off all the little fish, until they were the only ones left.

Anyway, why are people that are scoring 10 under par on this weeks course, playing in the Beginner league? It's the Beginner Club Tour because only Beginner Clubs are allowed. However, it does not mean that only beginner players participate. Some of the Beginner Club players just like playing this way, even though they are capable of competing in the regular tours. Some people just enjoy trying to post absurd scores and beat other absurd scores. There isn't anything wrong with that. It can seem unfair if you have the impression that the Beginner Club Tour is expressly for beginners, but the tour is not. CC-Am, where Pro and Master clubs are allowed is more catered to players new to the Tour, as the fields are (generally) filled by the newest and least-skilled players.

Hi there.
So once you do Q school, you can compete in the CC leagues with Pro or Master clubs, but STILL compete in the Beginners league with Beginners clubs, simultaneously ?

Hi there. So once you do Q school, you can compete in the CC leagues with Pro or Master clubs, but STILL compete in the Beginners league with Beginners clubs, simultaneously ? No, it is one or the other as far as showing on the leaderboards.
If you did Q-School with beginner clubs then you will be put on the beginner tour. It is a standalone tour that does not promote or demote at all for users of beginner clubs only. There is no need to do Q-School if you plan on playing the beginner tour with beginner clubs as you can simply sign up for this tour.
If you did Q-School with Pro/Master clubs, then you will be put on the laddered regular tours, of which there are 11 total. Your starting placement would depend on your finish over your Q-School results. Note that the top three tours (Web, European, and PGA) require the use of exclusively Master clubs to qualify/play on them.

Thanks for answering his question. I'm also new. If you compete in q-school are you guaranteed to be placed in one of the CCs? Or can you do so badly that you don't get on any. This week I did both Beginning & q school separately so curious what will happen next week.

Q-School is meant to evaluate you and place you in the flight that best suits you. You cannot "fail" Q-School.
I am not sure how the site handles it if you play both BCT and Q-School. I guess it depends on what you have set in your profile on the main site.
Generally, you play either the main tours OR the BCT. Not both.

It will be interesting to see how the site handles it because I see my scores on both q-school & beginner tour. Hopefully next week I'll be on one of the circuit tours and then just never go back to beginner again. I'd rather do poorly with Pro/Master than do average with beginner set. Definitely want to challenge myself and move up the ranks slowly.

Just started playing an thought the beginners tour would be a good place to start your play. But I seem lost in the game. I can't seem to find the right society for the beginners tour.i joined the TGC Tours (CC-Am) society, but it does seem to have the Beginners Tour. It says there are no active events. Can any one help?

Can any one help? f you want to join this tour you need to edit your TGCT profile and click the Join Beginner Tour check box. This tour runs out of the TGC Tours (CC-Am) society in-game. There is no cut on the BCT. So just play your rounds in CC-Am using beginning clubs. Make sure your profile is set up and you should be good to go.

A better path might be to graduate immediately to Pro Clubs, go through QSchool and start in low CC-Am. You'll be in a better place, skill-wise.

It’s about to get really interesting in here soon! This tour is getting some new members starting next week. 😜
I’ll commit to starting the weekly spoiler thread to see if people chat it up about their rounds.
