Any of us average golfers ie. shooting realistic scores of say 8 to 10 under in a round, get discouraged when they see someone at -17 after first round? I played 4 rounds, respectable -21...leader at -50. Cant see how I can ever get into that scoring with all day practice.

If you're in Q School, don't worry about it. You'll get sent to a flight generally equal to your skill level.

So how many leagues are there in total once you do Q school ?
Is there automatic promotions up and down, and does this happen at the end of each season ?
I'm currently in the Beginner league, but given one or 2 people are doing 12 under par, per round, there is little chance of anyone else ever winning.

Q-School is held in the CC-Pro event which covers flights 4-7. Some of those players in that event are 2-thirds up the Tour ladder. A small fraction may even be playing the event unofficially, as they are members of even higher flights. Please note that the "Beginner" tour is actually the "Beginner Club Tour". It is a separate tour for players using Beginner Clubs, and it is not a tour catered to novice players. Some of those players are actually really good and just prefer the try-to-birdie-every-single-hole gameplay. CC-Am is more appropriate for novice players.

Also note that you do not promote out of the beginner club tour. You'll need to do qschool with pro or master clubs to get on the tours with promotions and demotions.

You’ll quickly learn that everything here is relative. Some players here would be pretty stoked to go -21 over four rounds. Play to challenge yourself and those in your flight. Everything else will take care of itself.

Maybe throw your TGCT name into your profile, and then we can track your progress? How’d it go this week?
