While I agree, I also think your settings are a bit off.

Go into your settings and raise the backlight number!! Also, make sure you are in "game Mode"

I play on a Sony 4K TV with no problem. I agree with the others, check your settings on your TV.

PS4 - it's a rather hi end home theater ( 9 speaker Dolby Atmos, OLED TV yada yada) that was calibrated for movies . . . but game mode ? might be something to look into.
NOTE - I ASSUMED they calibrated the TV - Checking The Audio was certainly calibrated but . . . .

Actually 11 speakers - forgot the 2 sub woofers! How can you forget two 250 watt subs OLED55?7P I believe - not sure what the exact model was - it's a year old now so almost useless LOL Thanks for the links, I'll check them out. This was the first time I had an issue for more then 1 hole. NOTE - this was the first time I ever had somebody else set up a system Speakers in the ceilings and so forth. A Marantz SR7012 9.2 and all sorts of fun toys that I am learning to control. When I set up all my other systems I did it so I knew what everything was. NOW - it's like I'm a newborn learning where all the menus are. Plus Dolby Atmos is a monster.

Game mode is a must if you want consistent tempo and putts Trust me! 😕 So switch screen to game mode not movie. Any setting you change in one mode will not affect the other. The mode should switch automatically to movie or game depending on which inputs is used. So once you set the input PS4 is on to game mode it should automatically switch from then on. Look online there are tons of setup for PS4 and all brands of TVs. Find one then tweak as necessary. To get the look you like.

Game mode is a must if you want consistent tempo and putts Trust me! 😕 I have zero problems with tempo on PS4 well maybe not ZERO! LOL But tempo has never been a real issue especially putting. I'm not even sure where to switch to game mod but now I have to look for it. But then again I'm a +13 handicap so . . . . . . maybe it is. What does GAME MODE actually do - it seems I have 9 different settings

What does GAME MODE actually do - it seems I have 9 different settings There is a ton of processing in your TV in movie mode(not needed for games) that cause input lag and it varies. What you are seeing has already happened so to speak. So on putts it can throw off your distances. Some TVs are worse than others. You can’t see it happen so you don’t even realize it. It may only be a 1/10th if a second bit the key is when you add all your lag it really Can amount to a lot. Your controller, monitor and internet can all contribute. I run game mode, USB to controller and I notice the difference if one is wrong or unplugged.

...find your TV remote, go to the display settings, and brighten it up through the various settings available on that menu, should be pretty straight forward.

I've got a PS4 on a 4K TV and it does not look that bad. You should be able to mess around with your PS4 HDMI input settings to find something that looks better than that without messing with the settings for any of your other inputs. I just played around with mine until I found something I liked.

NOW - it's like I'm a newborn learning where all the menus are. Plus Dolby Atmos is a monster. Haha I have 5 surround speakers, two towers and two subs. Wife loves it when I shake the whole house ! I do not know what kinda of TV that is? LG I am guessing? Once you change it to game mode you should just play with the settings on the TV . My LG has a ton of settings and it took me some time to get it the way I wanted it. I also have a Denon 4K receiver which has a ton of video options on it as well. I still do not know what some of them do lol. I could help way more if you had a Xbox. I am not sure what the PS4 has but the Xbox X has a way to check if you are getting true 4K on your TV and it also has ways to calibrate your 4K TV. Atmos is awesome. I do not have the actual atmos speakers (mounted on the wall but not above my head) but Xbox has a Atmos app that allows you to simulate the atmos sound. Anyways I am sure you will figure it out. I love audio video so I hope I helped out somewhat.
