Watch the ball change direction about 10 yards before landing. Ridiculous. I know what I think.

Watch the ball change direction about 10 yards before landing. Ridiculous. I know what I think. The wind changed direction 180 degrees while the ball was in mid-air or had some random ?!?! happen to it???

i have had this happen many time and what do you think ? what I think is at certain times and I’m not sure why or when tbe game loosens up for the player. Such as this shot or the many ridiculously long putts I just eyeball and smack that just happen to be perfect in the hole. It feels like the game looks at your swing and if you hit in this window it’s gping to get very close or go in. That window opens and closes. Sometimes a 5ft putt feels impossible or if there is a tight fairway you have to be spot on. I don’t know, I guess I have always felt some sort of momentum shift or luck meter that is hidden in the code. Just a bit more of it in 2019.

How many times have you strung together 4-5 birdies and things feels easy then you have an off tempo and screw up for par or bogey then the next 3 holes are a struggle? It happens so much to me.

Oh.
No, I don't think there is any random meter thing going on.
5 foot putts: You can make any of them. Downhillers and putting pin-high but on a tilt are naturally harder and you may be getting in your own head.
Momentum shift can be boiled down to confidence (a real thing) and a lot of the rest is psychological and getting over adversity, IMO.
Often if you worry about something around the next corner, it will be there. Kind of the opposite of "making your own luck" which is just preparation.
I thought this was about wind possibly shifting around and not playing true, but I guess not.
There could be a little bit of HB wonkiness going on here and there, but I don't think it is intentional, just them not being able to debug or even know its there. One of the things I really do like about TGCTours is that some of the real life "in your head" stuff are here as well. Overcoming issues both mentally and "physically" (by this I mean bad swings, etc) is part of it all.

Devils advocate here. Not saying I THINK this is what may be happening. But it is food for thought. I generally just refer to my signature and pick a reason that suits my mindset at the time. DDA or DGGB Dynamic game difficulty balancing (DGDB), also known as dynamic difficulty adjustment (DDA) or dynamic game balancing (DGB), is the process of automatically changing parameters, scenarios, and behaviors in a video game in real-time, based on the player's ability, in order to avoid making the player bored (if the game is too easy) or frustrated (if it is too hard). However, letting AI players break the rules to which players are bound can cause the AI to cheat—for example, AI players might be given unlimited speed in racing games to stay near the human player. The goal of dynamic difficulty balancing is to keep the user interested from the beginning to the end, providing a good level of challenge.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_game_difficulty_balancing

That is giving HB a lot of credit thinking they coded some advanced balancing algo into the game....
Unlikely.

Wind clearly changes direction. It’s right-to-left when you strike it, but shifts 180 degrees. You can see the flag change direction, albeit just as your ball lands.
