If I could give you something to “change” instead of trying to swing straighter with the flick - which is inherently biased towards leaning on lofting up to control distance - try working on draw/fade to moderate your landing yardage. It’s really helpful at the top end of the bag if you can figure out ways to make it work for you.

I am one of those who naturally has a less than to the top swing probably on 50% of drives. Less on irons, wedges etc. My swing is not a conscious effort to stay in the cone by providing less feedback. Mine was the result of so many hours of practice during TGC2 in which I stopped playing TGCT events for nearly 3 months to work on my game. As the others have said, it’s not about trying to move the stick less it’s about very light pressure on the stick when swinging. It’s the only was I could keep it in the cone on TGC2 75% of the time or so. But in that game all my swings registered to the top.
Anyway, I have no desire to change my swing again because of some advantage that is perceived. That said, when I do register full swings in TGC19 they are most often much straighter than my less than 100% registered swings (which usually look something like upside down J’s. And I guarantee you that my swing dispersion charts rank way way down toward the bottom of PGA players. Where my game shines is short game and especially putting. Somebody posted the data from TGC19 and I was ranked 8th or something in PPH. Now that’s partially because I can putt and partially because I wind up scrambling a lot due to my swing dispersion (ie out of cone). My GIR is abysmal compared to other PGA players.
When I purposely try to full swing. Which means I put more pressure on the stick, I can keep it in the cone at least as much as when I short swing. But when I purposely try to full swing about 30-40% of swings register fast downswings. My lines sometimes have a line going to the top then coming back down at an angle as the stick bounces off the upper plastic.
So for those of you who are obviously better than me, maybe the short swing is an advantage. But for me the only advantage I gleen from it in my game is much fewer fast downswings.

No problem trying it just don’t expect a tutorial. As for the next. It’s true your long swing may be strainghter line but it’s more sensitive. For some reason a crooked line when short doesn’t do nearly as much to the ball flight, it’s like the cone is more sensitive towards the top. That’s cool use what works for you. Too boring for me. I keep saying it. A person skilled at swing straight is punished in 2019. Can’t short swing because DQ and long swing is hyper-sensitive. A less than perfect swinger has all the advantage sorry to say.

Thanks for the input, it’s probably moot anyway because neither of the controllers I own seem capable of doing it.

Round 4 in at -8. 😠😠
What can I say? HB did it again. 😂😂
I hardly EVER have tempo issues. EVER. Water on left? Very Fast down? You go it! 😠😠
Piss right off. 😠😠
I've also never heard of a 72% power flop, yet I sure as sh%$ hit one. Thank you. 😠😠
Anyway, finished up at -48 and actually thrilled with how I played. 😊😊
All I can do is LOL. 😏😏
Well played all and good luck next week to the victor who is going to shoot -68. 😘😘

Tempo problems here too. In the first 3 rounds the swing was giving a lot of fast downswings so I really eased up to counter that. Just played the final round and it was the exact opposite. Felt like I was swinging at the speed of light to find perfect. All feels strange and was never a problem until recently. A very ordinary 46 under in the end and a new personal best for lip burners. Can't wait to see what next week brings..

Started up Rd 3. Two fasts and I'm on the green! YOLO speed golf the rest of the rounds to finish -41.

I played the last round and carded -3 in zombie endured treacle like FPS conditions. Putting was horrendous. Restarted the PS4 twice and got no better. Putting was well off and I just ended up auto piloting. Odd for me to do that WP all and good arras Brad.
