Totally with the feedback on this week’s setup. With the big elevation changes, downwind especially, it’s weird to see one big hop and then no roll out. If anyone can tell me the club that works for 264 yards downhill 114 feet, downwind, or 200 yards, uphill 66 feet, into 13 mph wind, with a front bunker, let me know. Tried everything from 5i up and found that I either couldn’t get enough rollout to get anywhere close to hole high or had too much heat landing on the green.
All that said, I’m one of the rare breed who appreciates the chance to smash putts right through any apparent break. 119 greens let you do that. So I feel like my -36 for the week is going to be half decent.
Regardless, would be happy to see some of these setups be cohesive. Well designed courses don’t need the added protection of VF/VF/VF or anything that’s so unmatched it’s clear to the eye immediately. Going really low isn’t an indictment of the course.

Fully enjoyed my 4 rounds , regardless of my puppy stepping on my ps to disconnect me twice . I think she helped me to be honest as I was getting grumpy by trying to read the putts , and I was always out by a cup , so I used the old fashioned trick and used the rack of the eye . Finished at 31 under , the course played good . I like variety so I have no complaints about playing different green speeds , it keeps you on your toes for sure . Cut prediction , 10 under , winner , 45 under , top ten , 35 under . Up to now, top ps4 player is 42 under . There are some challenging holes , but as we are Eurostar’s , we should always relish a challenge 👍🏻

Pretty annoying course this one, took a while before i settled with it. Will be sweating the cut this week with a 68(-3) and a 64 (-7). Fingers crossed. Finished off way better with a 62 (-9) and a 59 (-12) which will send me to a respectable place IF my -10 is enough for the cut... Will be interesting.

played the first 2 in -21 (-11, -10). Felt pretty good about those rounds and here early on Monday the leader is only a shot better than my -11. Tough course. 10th hole will be the death of me; 0/2 on hitting that fairway. Once just short, once just through.
I don't mind the course or the conditions. I feel like we live on Fast/Very Fast greens week in and week out so throwing the slow in there keeps it interesting, especially combined with the very firm. I'm a fan; mix it up. Slow greens are much easier to putt on once you get the speed down; everything breaks less, downhill putts aren't nearly as scary, but you have to plan your shots properly of you'll leave everything woefully short.

FFS... 5 of my first 10 holes I sent a birdie putt just over the top edge of the hole and 1-3 feet long. Bogeyed both par 3s on the back with terrible chips. Felt like the same club into the same wind was varying by 20-30 yards. Missed a pretty straight putt on 18. Finished at -5 for the first round.
Second round again started by missing a birdie putt on the high side and leaving a 3 foot par coming back. Did the same on the 5th hole, and on the 8th. Actually managed to finally miss one on the low side on 12, 2 foot tap-in there. Missed another high on 13, tap-in from 11 inches, after a bad chip (is it just me or do chips run out just as far on 119 greens as on 170+ greens?) Left a 60 foot eagle putt on a perfect line 2 feet short on 15. Another birdie putt missed by inches on 16 with a 2-foot tap-in par. Finished up at -8, -13 through 2 rounds.
Might make the cut, bit dicey though. Like last week I don't have a realistic shot at top 10 (though I would have made top 10 easily last week despite barely making the cut if I'd made all my putts inside 10 feet in the last 2 rounds).

It's rare that I complain about a course - but green side bunkers you can't get out of with a full whack & full lofted flop are pretty dire... hence my 8 on the 17th. I was playing shite before that anyway, but the 17th pretty much took a tyre iron to my twitching corpse for this week.
Always next week...

Not sure where the good tempo came from but had a good tourney this week. I've been making cuts but not sniffing any wins and only have 1 top 10. Hope to get my 2nd this week with -42. I was thinking going in that the slow greens would drive me nuts. I'm not the biggest fan of them, but I putt well on them this week. Good luck folks

I noticed this on a couple of holes where I found the bunker. At 83-88% lie I couldn't clear the lip with a LW being only 15 yards a way. Seriously wtf?

I honestly have no idea what is going on. Shot a round. -12. YAY!!!! Then two rounds with at least a dozen VS downswings and VF downswings. Those tempos never happen and if so, once per 18 holes, not 6 or 7 per. I think my average distance to the pin was like 45 feet or so. Anyway a pair of -6s ...might make the cut, might not. I have no idea.
Just looked at my score card. 2 birdies 2 eagles how sucky is that? LOL

The greens caught me out for sure. -15 at the cut, I'm thinking it's safe but you never know.
Also, I had 2 occasions where the ball was well in the fairway (by 5 yards or so) and it registered as a heavy rough lie. Kind of strange but I'm sure I'm not the only one this affected.
Great course, tough setup.

There have been some really solid scores posted in round 1. However, I'm not one of them. I struggled with this course, and also had a couple of the same issues others had. I hit a 172 club down wind 136 on a hole, that I could not understand why, but I must have been in one of those fairway rough patches? I also hit the edge of two bunkers that have been mentioned. Couple those with at least 5 putts that just burnt the edge and you get - 4. -6 for a -10 at the cut. Not happy at all, as it could have been much better. I'm not holding my breath that -10 will make it. So, good luck to the rest of you.

Surprisingly, I think -12, which is currently holding at 42 may be enough this week. Wow.
