Played a quick practice round that was uninspiring to say the least. Went ahead and played the first two rounds to get it over with, expecting another disastrous outing and missed cut. Shot -9 -8. Sitting -17 after two. I don't know if that will be good enough to make the cut, but it sure was a welcome change from how I've been playing the past few weeks.

Here is the chart of one of Jules' flagged rounds this week on XB1: By comparison, here is one of Jules charts from last week's PGA event where he played on PS4:

Guess Iโm curious if previous Xbox rounds are consistent. Was he flagged by the Xbox chart in isolation or by comparison to his baseline which includes PS4?

There are no comparison of rounds involved in the API. Everything is math. Every round is evaluated the same regardless of who shot it or when it was shot.

All right within a certain parameter.

The colour of that line changes the further from centre your shots are, left or right of the dead centre line. Your graph is showing incredibly tight dispersion all marginally right of centre with your old Xbox pad. PS4 distribution looks like a pretty normal chart.

The guys above explained it well. For future reference or for those that don't know, here is the explanation of the chart creation:
When you move your stick or mouse back and forth to create the swing, the controller/mouse sends data to the game as to where the stick/mouse is in relation to the axis at multiple points throughout the swing movement.
The game then uses a calculation of those points, weighted in certain areas of the swing, to produce an accuracy value that determines how straight the ball path will be before other conditions are applied to it (wind, tempo, lie, etc). That accuracy value is given to us in the data we receive from the game.
The accuracy values are given as either positive or negative numbers. Positive numbers mean the shot favored right, Negative numbers mean the shot favored left.
To create the chart, we take the accuracy values and divide them up in 73 segments (36 on the left, zero, 36 on the right). Each segment represents an increment of .0025 except for the two outermost segments (navy blue) which simply represent anything greater than 0.09 or less than -0.09. Anything beyond 0.09 or -0.09 is pretty far outside the light blue stripe in the game's feedback meter so is safe to lump into one grouping.

Okay thanks. Surprising that this controller hasnt been flagged before? Im guessing maybe up until now it has been borderline and this particular week i practiced quite abit and possibly got my swing too consistant. Either way it sucks and im gna have to switch to ps4 and start working out how to play on there ๐

I have always wondered if you can split out different types of shots (normal, pitch, flop, chip), and also different clubs (woods v long irons v short irons vs putts) within the API data you receive.

Was playing a casual round... and I made a Fadgewacker out of myself on hole 18! I think that there's a glitch!

Donโt be short... ended up -6, -8... snippety snip... I played extremely well for parts of both rounds but missed 3 or 4 โtiddlersโ 163s threw me for a few holes in R2 as I had it in my mind we were on default all week ala the weather report. Same thing happened to me. That was fun. Lol
