An early report from me this week (even earlier than normal) - due to the fact that I have completed just one round, and if I don't stop right now, I think the controller and monitor are going to get closely acquainted!!!!
Solid enough round overall at -9, but sooooo frustrated at the last two holes (despite playing them in one under!)
Holed nothing all the way round (left myself far too many long putts to be honest) - but then got to 17 tee. I know all about the left OOB, so determined to make 100% sure of a downswing that was on the slow side....except the tempo glitch that seems to be becoming more regular on PC in the last 2-3 weeks happened - and that nice smooth slow downswing registered as a f*^&ing VF somehow!!!!!
Oh no - that's going OOB then.......until I then got unbelievably lucky and it smashed right into the one tree on the left, hitting full on the trunk and shooting right into the semi!!! Good lie (but 200 out) - beautiful 5i straight at the flag........and pitches 2 inches from the top of the bunker (needed another foot and I'd have had a pretty short birdie putt)
Several deep breaths and got it up and down...
18th - nice drive, nice hybrid....which rolls all the way to the top of the slope........and all the way back down to 50ft. Hello hovver putt which goes miles - just 17ft past then........ Fortunately it's totally flat on that top section, so did roll it in.....but absolutely fuming right now with the game.
R2 probably this afternoon when I calm down a bit
Zero wind btw - so scoring is going to be stupidly low...

So after an hour or so cooling down, I had an uneventful -9 in R2, and really solid -12 in R3 (which should have been better given I was -8 after 9) but then an off round in R4 of -7 (all down to me (and the higher winds)) - just couldn't dial anything in at all - even the putts. My 16th and 18th summed up the round in many ways - massive overclub at 16 through the green, then holed a stupid downhill double breaking chip for a 2. At 18 I finally hit a superb 2nd shot - a big lofted cut into the front left pin (with a gale off the right) - then hit a terrible 10ft eagle putt - which did nothing like I expected it to - and went in the middle (much to my surprise!) -37 in total (assuming -18 makes the cut, which is probably borderline) Good luck all - and enjoy a few more yellow pins.....

What a joke course first of all. This is the biggest abortion of a golf course going! Not only is is sculpted by a blind child. Are the schedulers on crack again. Its horrendous. You hit good shots close then your chipping off the back of the green. And don't get me started on the efforts that are meant to be retaining walls. Interesting week for me, played my best tee-to-green since the patch of doom with a fantastic 88% GIR over 4 rounds and very, very few bad tempos by my standards, but annoyingly I missed a ton of putts that didn't break quite how I expected and so I finished on a tepid -39.

I found the course unappealing for a variety of reasons. Went on autopilot in round 1 and finished -6. Figuring I would not make the cut I gave no shits in round 2 and shot -15.
Unfortunately that means I now have to play 2 more rounds here

-14 in rd 3 has me wondering why my rd 1 was so bad. Ahh golf. Dont you just love it.
Annnnd -9 to finish -45. Swing is looking good this week, maybe I can make a run at the top eventually. I can pretty easily find the 10 strokes lost to the leader (-55) and honestly I think we might see someone at -60. Whoever putts the best with tree shadows everywhere!

Don’t be short... ended up -6, -8... snippety snip... I played extremely well for parts of both rounds but missed 3 or 4 “tiddlers” 163s threw me for a few holes in R2 as I had it in my mind we were on default all week ala the weather report.

My choice was 1i and go long, or a fast 3i and maybe just scoot up... fast 3i it was, hit it lovely! Just caught the top, rolled back far enough that I registered under the hazard. I’d heard you could play out of there... you can’t!! After that failure I was only sufficiently deep in the trap that it understood where I was and it gave me a drop. I do realise I could have taken an unplayable, but I’m a @!$#ing hero.

The glitch was known from TGC2. Another course you guys voted on to play...so I’m abstaining from any gripes for another 2 weeks.

In fact, there’s was not 1 single vote or comment against playing here, and the poll has been up 50 days. Enjoy your life choices!
