Went into this expecting the worst - and yes the greens are fairly tricky - but mostly fairer than last week's....
Opening -8, followed by -11 in R2 - made 4/5 long, big curling bombs, missed a few simple straight(ish) easy ones.
R1 had default (179) greens - 10th hole had loads of yellow and 17 a little bit.
R2 - greens were slowed down to 163.......and we open as pictured below ffs. Hit my chip about 3 boxes right of the hole and ended with about 7ft for par from below the hole - enjoyable!
To be fair - only the 18th after that was pretty solid yellow.

Had practice rounds of 61, 58, 60 and 59 so I was really confident going into this week, but when it actually mattered I only managed -31. Here's to next week I guess!

Well, the second round probably sunk my chances of seriously contending. Combination of stupid mistakes like hitting into the water on 5, bad breaks like finding an invisible spot of heavy rough in the 12th fairway, and going on tilt and rush through my reads and missing a few putts I have no business missing on the back 9.
I actually shot 5 strokes better in round 2 of True Sim on the same pins than in PGA tour. Doubt that ever happens again.

Also finished on -31 to tie @larrymalone - although sooooooo pleased to do it by hitting the 18th green in 2, then not being on it in 4!! (and making a lovely double therefore)
My regulation average crap overall therefore.

Had a crappy -6 to start. My putting was atrocious. Either too much speed, pulling them, or well read putts lipped. A few bogeys and a grind on the last 3 holes gave me little hope for a made cut. Fired -14 in R2 including nothing wanting to fall the last 4 holes. Gave it a go in R3 and was -5 thru 5 then limped in late with a lipout bogey on 18. -31 thru 3. Will do R4 later.
Don’t hate the course but some pins are silly at times.

Just your normal "Yeah there were a couple borderline pins, but the PGA guys can handle it" tournament.

There were only 5 with large amounts of yellow around them in R4 (all on the front 9). So 9 holes in total for the event.....
Meh - us PGA pussies will just have to suck it up and deal with it

Gave it away in r1 but can’t be perfect every time. Just hoping -20 makes the cut.

Finally didn’t choke in the final round! Think I’ve got a shot at my first top 10 at -46. Ecstatic that we’re playing real courses for the next few weeks as well

-34 thru 3 I think then a hugely frustrating, jobby of a 4th round (-4). Mediocrity prevails. 😡

Designer is no longer around so pins couldn’t be changed. You guys voted (or abstained) for this course to be used, so for once I can point to you to own the grumbles

I’ve no grumbles about this course either, but then we could’ve played at The House on the Hill this week and it would’ve been an improvement on last weeks turdfest 😂😂😂
