Good luck all! (FYI that reads "Lets golf" in Arabic, at least according to Google.)
Just practiced this course and it seems fairly straight forward. Some very narrow and tricky drives but if you can hit the fairway, it seems you can fire at about every pin. I'm assuming the schedules will give us hurricane winds to that might keep scores lower.

Regardless what happens out there, just want to say I love this course. We often get a little pissy on the forums when we don’t agree with the course selection, so this time I’d like to give props when they are due. Valle Crucis rewards great shots. It punishes bad ones. Totally fair and great job to the designer! Good luck fellow Euro grinders.

Welp first round winds are high and firmness on greens/fairways are maxed out. I hope this isn't the same all week as that would get boring really quick.

It's the same for round 2, I don't know about round 3 haven't played yet. -12, -11 for -23 at the cut.
In round 2 I was actually -9 through I think 10, and then hit a brick wall. Took a triple bogey early in the back 9, I think it was hole 11, I'll have to look again when they post the R2 scorecards. I honestly don't remember a ton about it, PTSD I suppose haha. Definitely the first of it's kind this season. It involved a shot into the water and then a drop where I took the default drop location but should have looked closer, the drop location was directly behind a giant tree so I had to hit sideways even though I was 85 yards from the hole. I tried to put that out of my mind and just play clean coming in but the wind was definitely taken out of my sails a bit. I clawed back to -9 going into 18 and the golf gods finally decided to have some mercy on me as my eagle putt that looked like it was going to slide by the left side somehow dropped in the left edge.
The end result for R2 was what appears on the surface to be a normal, boring -11 but in reality could have been so much worse or so much better. If that's a par or a birdie instead of a triple, getting back the strokes and the lost momentum I probably would have been staring down a -16 or better and right there with the leaders, but I'm glad I stuck with it as well as I did to put myself comfortably in the cut line and a good R3 away from a top 10 being very achievable.

Soooooo.... I shoot -25 thru 2. Then my xbox starts doing xbox stuff. Finished -37 by way of TEN total "very slows/very fasts." The moment I get a bogus swing, I'm restarting my console in the future. If you try to play through the wave it's death. I took a promotion point, lit it on fire, and am now back to the drawing board. No biggie tho. Swinging it well and knocking on the door. It's gonna open for me some time soon. I can feel it. Good shooting out there everyone! Kind of surprising how much everyone is tearing the course up right now. Four -15s? You guys are nuts.

Awful 2nd round .... putts just wouldn't drop, pretty sure my total distance for par putts would be about 2ft over the whole round!! 2 eagles 2 birdies and a bogey for a -5 and -16 at the cut .... doubt that will make it but gonna finish up because I'm a glutton for punishment

I was chasing my tail from the start terrible first round just couldn’t hit it close, -7 then round 2 I was on fire killing it then had a stumble to finish -12 enough to make a cut, hopefully, some really good scores on PS4, I then played the weekend and ended up in a bodybag no promotion this week

Well, classic rd 1 for me. Bogey the first two holes with slow downswings and poor putting being the story. I was +1 through 8 holes! I told myself you need a birdie right now, or it will be another missed cut. Got the bird on 9 to get back to even. I knew the cut would be around -18 to -20 so nothing less then a -8 on the back would keep any hopes of making the cut alive. I then proceed to run off 7 birdies an eagle and par on the back to end up -9 thru 1 round.
I was very happy with the round and exhausted. This game drives me nuts. I feel like I have it down, then I feel like I can't do a damn thing with the tempo. All in all I enjoyed the round, but until I can get rid of all these fast and slow downswings I fear I will never have total confidence in my shots. Anyway, even though I ended the final 10 holes at -10 I had nothing left in the tank to play round 2. I will play it tonight or tomorrow. Need a - 10 or 11 in round 2 to feel good about the cut, as I think -20 will cross the line.
Good luck all!

After some recent poor form I admitted to myself I’m not good enough at this game to just play the tour and expect good results. More hours on the game this week has helped a lot.
A good start for me this week.
-15 -9
Feels good to be on the first page of the leaderboard.. Fingers crossed I can carry on playing this way and get a good finish this week.
Good luck to those yet to play.

I really like this course. It is a proper mix of risk, reward, chance and skill. Sadly I just never feel like I'm able to capitalize on some really good shots and thus I struggle. Finished round one with way too many 8-12 foot par saves. Other than that, didn't miss a lot of putts just couldn't get the ball to get close on a lot of holes that really should be birdie holes, even three putted the final hole. I think this week is going to be all about trying to just make the cut and keep the promotion marks. -10 puts me about middle of the field.

Wow, joined the club of taking that promotion mark, lighting it on fire and watching it burn. Bogeyed the first two holes on just sheer silliness. Fought back, looking good, bogey. Fought back, maybe, bogey. -5 for a -15. Going to miss cut by one or two me thinks. Just never could get the hang of this course.
