R1 at Ballylough was -6. I had some nice birdie putts, but what really kept me going were a couple of 15-20 foot par saves. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up in rounds 2-4. My goal is to finish -20 or better. Sadly, -6 only gets me tied 240th in the promo event. Who are these guys? (apologies to Wade, who got to read the same info in a PM) Actually, I know who "these guys" are. The guys on the pro tours can hit the ball straighter than me, and they use all the aids they can to shape shots, add spin, adjust distance and read greens. And they're probably better at math than I am, so their wind and lie calculations are more accurate despite the fact that I was a Math/Computer Science major in college. They're just lucky they didn't catch me before I spent decades killing off brain cells in pubs around the world! You lucky dog! I wish I could say I killed off brain cells in pubs around the world. I only go to pubs in Canada, Italy and the some places around the USA. Still, you can still do some serious damage to your body in all those places. Ever get the Screaming Peroni Sh!$s in Italy? Not cool.

I drank lots of Red Wine and Sambuca too.

So is it safe to assume the team and individual matchups this week are the same for the IC as they were last week? I'm glad they were the same this week -- you bailed me out in the pairs play, Jeff!

Not certain what my first round means to anyone, if someone could lend me the quick and dirty, but I’m currently -4 after 1. Onward...

I see it now - 4 ball teams Rd1 and head to head Rd 3. Got it! So my Rd 3 score is the one to dial in (even though I see it’s already decided, and I’m in on mop up duty)

Just need one more to shoot and I'll post the final score.

WOW! All Square and to do it with a birdie on 18! I love match play! Very strong finishing 9 to keep them from getting a full point! It's no fun unless you do it on the 18th... I'll apologise to Jeff Bellune now... sorry buddy I had my best round in Round 3 at Ballylough... -8 with no bogeys..

Whoever's up against me in the singles play this week, you can stop off in the clubhouse after the front nine, drink copiously and STILL finish well ahead of me... sigh.

Me I believe which is just as well (for me) as I certainly didn’t pull up any trees with my round. See you after the 9th we’ll both have a few beers. At least my promo 3rd round was much better than my Kass 3rd round...shan’t be sad to see the back of that Mountain!
