For gamesdecent cephyn & others inquiring about what I did with the retaining walls on Hoback Range, I put together a bit of a tutorial. First YouTube vid I've done w/ voice, so apologies in advance for the amateur presentation! Oh, and there's a bonus about my stream/wetland look at the end

That's some great work there. I'm stealing it for a future course for sure.

Nice video Jeremy thank for doing that as im sure it will help a lot of people.
One question, you weren't vertically aligning the vertical pieces to the existing wall when you laid them, would you normally and this was just a rushed example?
Also i presume you go back and lower/raise the playing surface to remove the grass showing through your bridge?

Nice video Jeremy thank for doing that as im sure it will help a lot of people. One question, you weren't vertically aligning the vertical pieces to the existing wall when you laid them, would you normally and this was just a rushed example? Also i presume you go back and lower/raise the playing surface to remove the grass showing through your bridge? Trying to figure out your question here. I'm taking the retaining wall (vertical) pieces and aligning them with the bridge (horizontal) pieces, using the L1/R1 (on PS4) buttons to get the top of the wall level with the top of the bridge, and going around the entire wall in that way. Horizontally, am I keeping the wall pieces flush with the bridge? No, and there's a reason to that. I'm using the retaining wall pieces to create a smooth, rounded facade to mimic the look of what you would do laying retaining wall in a standard 1- or 3-layer technique. That's why I can be a little imprecise placing the bridge pieces on the Y-axis, because I'm going to make the Y-axis rounded with my retaining wall pieces. The biggest trick is to make sure you don't accidentally leave a gap between a bridge piece and a wall piece. Yes, it was a bit of a rushed example. Recorded it after I got off work last night, so I was getting a little tired and some of it was rushed. Yes, I would then go back and lower/flatten the surface so that ground didn't show between my wall and the water level. Just didn't go over it in that much detail, because that's been covered in other tutorials, and I didn't want to make it an hour-long video . Hope that answered your questions and didn't get you further off in the weeds!

Ooh also thanks for the tip on shallow rivers - I had an idea for a course with shallow braided rivers, but struggled a little to create them and put it on the back burner. Might be worth a revisit now!

Some of us might enjoy a mayday bunker video, just saying I appreciate that ... I could try to make one but, straight up, I’ve always struggled with bunkering and I could name several guys who are much better at it than me.

Sweet video Jeremy, thank you! One of the hardest aspects of course design for me has always been retaining walls, and I sure appreciate this tutorial!
