Round 3 ... bogied the 16th when my tee shot went left for no apparent reason but 7 birdies and the rest pars for a -6 leaves me 2 shots behind darvaan going into the last round <Gets Gav voodoo dolls out>

4th round nothing would drop ... I was unable to execute fast downswings for some reason and a very slow downswing flop caused me to bogey the 17th but my challenge was all over by then .... 2 birdies and 2 bogies for an even par last round to leave me on -14 for the tournament.
75% fir 74% gir Putt accuracy was 100% 73.33% 15.22%
Total stats 1 eagle 17 birds 49 pars 5 bogies

-3 for round 4. 3 birdies. Only missed 2 greens. That puts me at -19 in the clubhouse. Win or lose I am very pleased with how I played. Final stats: -19 (-6,-3,-7,-3) FIR 75.00% GIR 79.17% 3 putt% 4.17% Putt accuracy 100/73/12 Scrambling 93.33 % 23 birdies & 45 pars & 4 bogeys Also, I can confirm 8 players at least started the tournament on PS4. How many on PC & Xbox? Got three on the Xbox including myself so far. Do FRSTDWN and lessangster play? because I think this would be right up their alley.

Second round 69 in the bag, couple of brain burps hitting a full shot out the greenside bunker on 2 that left me the 70 yard pitch and a stupid tap of the stick and the ball rolling 1 foot on my 43 foot eagle putt on 17 when trying to find how to move the putting camera around the screen( still can't figure out how to do that any tips guys?).My long putting was actually pretty good a few lip outs and a 45 footer dead on line pulled up a foot short. Driving stats still in the 60's but a solid 83.33 GIR shows my approach play is improving over my 72% from round 1. Was really happy with this pitch after my brain burp bunker shot on 2, unfortunately I missed the putt

Enjoyed this, apart from missing a 3ft putt in rd 3 and bogeying the last in rd 3, went bogey free in rd 4, but could only match darvaan in the end. -8,-2,-5,-4 = (-19) FIR:- 73.21% GIR:- 75.00% PARS:- 41 BIRDS:- 25 BOGEY'S:- 6 I don't believe the putting stats as is said i was 100% for both short and medium putts and i know i missed some inside 10ft. Play well all.

I played first two rounds on the xbox. (Thanks Will? for hosting!!) Really surprised at how many blind landings are on this course....was really surprised to find myself off the fairway a few times when I got to my ball....Gophers?? Had no problem at all putting without the marker which was a surprise. you can't get behind the hole on long putts but on RCR's this is less of a problem as the breaks are usually more predictable. I use partial swings all the time in my normal short game so the no loft box wasn't a problem at all. I did try two partial swings on approach shots and was 1 for 2. One I hit 95% and was pin high (that was fun!) another I got a VF (which is common when I am exited to hit a shot and slam the stick forward.). I did try and minimize this by taking away my 3w and loading up on irons. I played for the middle of the green a lot more than I would normally too. +2, -2.....thumb fell off the stick twice on the front nine of round one and twice tried to "catch it" and followed through which caused two comical very slows....duh. Fun way to play.

As a PC player drawing the ball comes more naturally as it's quite easy to pull off a fast downswing. A power fade from a slow downswing is a whole new ball game.

I think the word power would give you a clue Actually it doesn’t other than indirectly as a closed face generally translates into a lifer dynamic loft and therefore a higher smash. Its a shot hit with a path more left than clubface but both left of target/set up line. In other words a closed face club. In theory you could hit one with a lot of forward shaft lean and an open face, but no one gets into that type of impact conditions unless it’s a complete goof shot.

Before I summarise my final 2 rounds would just like to say how much I enjoyed playing this way, really makes you appreciate these superb RCR’s & also realise how very close TGC2019 is to being a great golf sim.Just give us the option to disable loft box, follow cam & the ability to shape shots with a diagonal swing, & maybe choke down on grip. For me the most enjoyable aspect of playing this way is staying behind your golfer watching a downhill 20 ft putt curl into the hole instead of the camera spinning around & not having a clue where the putt is heading.Anyway after my opening rounds of 70 & 63 earlier in the week I have just completed my weekend rounds.Cruised to another 63 in round 3 even with a silly bogey on 18,whether by superb course management or pure luck I seemed to have the perfect distance for my approach shots to just hit a full iron, like to think it was superb course management 😉.Round 4 was much more of a struggle, surprising how much a little bit more wind can affect you in this format, managed to scramble it round in 66 for a total of -18. 1 shy of leaders on PS4 darvaan & smiffy ,well played gents 👍. Very much looking forward to playing some more great RCR’s in this excellent society in a 72 hole format, proper golf, respect the par ,cheers all 🍻
