Always playing just for masochistic fun, but for now.... Not a great score, but on the 9th green... C'mon JosiaDB, I'm waiting for ya! Fantastic putt 😁, surely the longest holed yet on USE 👏

Loft box violation for me, round 1, hole 12. Had a very slow downswing and was in jail behind some trees. Wasn’t thinking and put extreme fade on my shot. Damnit!!!

Curtis keeps shooting himself in the foot to get the Payne Stewart award for sportsmanship. I might do that if I had the game that could recover from it!

He's definitely top of the Ultra Sim fair play leaderboard this season. Hate to see people mistakenly use it but understandable as they use it on Tgctours. Luckily I don't have that problem and haven't touched it since I stopped playing TST a couple of months back. Just a shame we can't lock it off, was a bummer to see Loco miss out on a win because of it. True gentleman's club we have here, great sportsmanship

My big thing I have to remember before starting my USE rounds is the follow cam. I love it, love the views of the course I see as the ball flies (not always where I want to go but still enjoy the scenery). IMO I think the follow cam could still be used with no discernible advantage for tee shots on 4s and 5s, but rules are rules. I get the immersion factor to standing on the tee and seeing the ball go as IRLG, still love the follow cam.
As loft box goes, I seldom use it on TGCT, might be why I suck. Same reason I don't count clicks and why I use a mouse and not a controller; more like real golf and I'm a feel player (translation: I'm lazy). Changing my shot shape and tempo with the mouse movement is fun if not very effective!
End of rant. Grabbing my soapbox, cya in round 2.

Round 1 at the Beautiful Belfry is in the books. I missed an easy 4ft putt for birdie early on but made a putt I shouldn't have on the 18th for birdie. I was just trying to snuggle it up to the hole from about 14 feet away for a nice tap in par. It rolled right up and in. If I was trying to make it, I'm sure I would have missed it, lol. Finished R1 at (-1) so very pleased with that.

Integrity scores more points though IMO. It would be nice if HB made the TST like USE. To me USE is real sim golf. Have a box in settings to check Sim Play and disable all the aids. Just the Golfer, Clubs and swing against the courses and the elements. I would really like to see that but I'm sure it would ruffle a lot of feathers in TST. Oh well, I am enjoying what we have.

That would definitely be great to be able to turn off. Unfortunately for me, I really have to focus on not using it. I jump around a lot of times when a new week begins. I'll go play different tours and not finish all 4 rounds in one sitting. It's my fault. I think the integrity of this society is fantastic and I sure as crap ain't taking any cheap victories by way of cheating. I'm gonna earn it one of these weeks. :-) Good luck to all this week!

Would be nice to be able to shape your shots by direction like say a 7 o clock backswing to a 1 o clock downswing produces a draw and a 8 o clock to 2 produces a hook and vice versa for fade. Would take skill to pull off with the correct tempo. Tempo in the game is so different from real life.

Yup we should be able to swing in to out and out to in creating a draw or a fade. But we can't because the tempo negates the swing plane. In TGC 2 we could manually draw and fade and it had the option of inverted or normal swing.
So all we got is a tempo based manual draw or fade. I can draw pretty well on command but I find it hard to get a consistent fade . First reason it's hard for me to swing that slow and because the ball goes further with a slow swing it screws me up.
Let's hope the next game the tempo and swing plane can be independent of each other to some extent.
BTW anyone see the wind gusts at Rivera? I know some of you saw it and thought how awesome it would be to have it in game. Also would be cool to have our clothes move in the wind. Tiger did it on the 360.
Anyway I'll play my 2nd round tonight.

Christ this course is gorgeous. Very solid event for me, -13 overall with short/medium/long putting stats of 100/100/21, easily the best I've putted in USE. Went into the water a couple of times but also had a monster hole-out from 215 yards, so swings and roundabouts

Shot 2 over again for my second round. I just could not make a putt. Missed at least 5 birdie putts. I think it's hole ten you can drive. Not having the loft box really makes the hole shine. First round I hit driver and the second round I hit the 3 wood as hard as I could without getting a VF. I ended up to right and short but safe! I think I birdied it but not surel. Number 17 can suck it though. I cannot get a very slow swing so both rounds I have ended up in the left rough blocked out by the tree. I am going to get it done in round 3!

After posting a good score in round one (a good score for me, lol) at -1. My expectation was to continue playing solid since I really liked the Belfry course. Well the momentum didn't last long. I hit my drive on #1 right down the center of the fairway. Leaving me a nice gap wedge to the pin. I struck the ball with a slow down swing and my ball faded off to the right into a deep sand trap. I thought no problem, I will get up and down and save par with a great bunker shot. Well I tried to get too cute and get close to the pin. I didn't make it out of the bunker. It hit the side of the green and rolled back in.This is where the meltdown began. After doing my best impersonation of Sergio Garcia, I ended up taking a Quadruple bogey on the first hole. This led me to try and make up the score and taking risks that I shouldn't. Instead of trying to take what the course was giving me. I tried to force the issue, big mistake. One bad decision after another came next and I finished R2 with a +9. After apologizing to the media, fans and peers after the round, I tried to put the fiasco behind me. Rounds 3 and 4 were even worse. The Tin Cup mentality does not work in golf lol. I have to learn from this and move forward. I cannot lose my mental edge to the golf course. I'm off to the driving range to re-establish a nice smooth tempo on my golf swing. My four rounds are posted below for your amusement. Good luck to everyone! R1 (-1) R2 (+9) R3 (+10) R4 (+13) Total (+31)
