We're going on a bear hunt, we're going to catch a big one, what a beautiful day! We're not scared.
But what's that?!
Rough! Long, heavy rough.
We can't go over it, we can't go under it, UH OH, we're going to have to hack through it....
That bear is going down!
Edit: just realised this reference might go straight over the head of anyone without small children!

Does any of the CC-C guys want to lead us into battle? I nominate you, Pat. You're kind of the unspoken leader anyway

Wait why did we pick a fight with CC-C again? Should we have started this with CC-A to actually make it challenging?

A lot of our team have played at a higher level than CC-C in previous seasons, so I'm sure on our day we can put up a challenge.

Is this a Masters challenge or are there pro club users as well?

Is this a Masters challenge or are there pro club users as well? I think it's better to let the players choose between either master or pro. I'm wanting it to be fun for all of us and not force people to use clubs they aren't used to.

Hey guys, we have been discussing format ideas in the private messages but I wanted to share my idea for the format that would not require playing extra rounds outside of the tours. This was in a reply to Celtic Wolf __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I would be able to play a few extra rounds outside of tour play, but I would recommend the scoring be from within the tour rounds. If we pull the scores from tour rounds it's fool proof, we will have all the scores and stats readily available to enter into the spreadsheets with the built-in API check. I don't think anyone here would cheat anyway but it would make it impossible for anyone to "retry" a round or play in easier than the agreed upon conditions. Since we will be able to see all scores from the TGCTours site it would be easy to score head to head match play or four ball play. Foursomes unfortunately would not work since we are all on different platforms. Here's an example: Win = 1 point. Tie = .5 point. First team to 8.5 points Wins! First round (TGCT Wk 10, Rd1) - Captains select 2 teams of 2 for four ball matches and the remaining 2 play head to head match play against the remaining 2 on the other team. Captains choice of matchups. We will pull the scores on each hole from the scorecards from Round 1 of the tour rounds. For four ball scoring we simply pull the lowest score on each hole between the 2 teammates to determine the team match play outcome. For the guys going head to head we will simply compare the 2 scorecards side by side and calculate the match play scenario to determine who won. There will be 4 points up for grabs this round. Second round (TGCT Wk 10, Rd3) - Same as first round but captains can mix up the rosters at their discretion. Scores pulled from Round 3 of tour rounds. 4 points up for grabs. Third round (TGCT Wk 11, Rd1) - Captains choose 4 players from each squad to go head to head in match play. Scores pulled from Round 1 of tour rounds. 4 points up for grabs. Fourth round (TGCT Wk 11, Rd3) - Same as third round but captains must include the 2 players who sat out round 3. Scores pulled from Round 3 of tour rounds. 4 points up for grabs. If the competition is close enough that this thing needs to go into a Fifth round then it will be played on TGCT Wk 12 with Captains choosing the format. If one of the teams wins by the end of the third round, the fourth round will not be played. What do you guys think about this? Let me know if you have any questions.
