Woke up this morning shot out of a cannon in anticipation of using my new PS4 for the first time on tour. Tons of stupid mistakes, but at least I knew it was my fault. I can handle being mad at myself.

I can handle being mad at myself. Course (especially greens are pretty tough!) Can see some angry golfer posts this week! Iv played 2 rounds, missed loads of putts, xbox tempo all over the shot!

Yes. Almost every putt was double breaking, uphill, then drastically downhill. My goodness. I did not have the nerve to employ that Chadcock putting technique.

If the winds are up I can see people making 60% less FIR and 50% GIR. Gotta play this course smart. Par is a very good score on many of these holes.

Round one seems decent, vf fairways, firm greens, medium speed, medium winds. A quick practice round of -6 left me feeling that I actually did well, even with two bogeys that resulted from my own idiocy. I think -10 is quite doable and would be among the leaders in this first round. Good luck all.
BTW, gotta practice that driveable, hard draw par four. Go for it? Lay up? A lay up in the fairway before you isn't a gimmie birdie, gotta fade it around the trees for a wedge or less in. Love that hole.

Started off on fire birdieing every hole but the 2nd on the front 9! Then bogied the 10th and only found 2 more birdies on the back 9 to open with -9

Round 2 was a lot tougher with those winds... bogied the par 5 3rd after being greedy and going in the drink on my approach, 7 birdies and the rest pars for a -6 and -15 at the cut .... should be enough to play the weekend rounds so onward!!

Had one of the first tee times this week which is different for me as I don’t usually play so early in the tournament. However, I may have hit the right level of inebriation in round 1. Tricky course to navigate around and even trickier in the greens. Had one stupid bogey on the afformentioned short par 4 (not enough draw and bounced into the water) but feel great about a -10 to start the week. Haven’t had the balls to start round 2 yet 😆

After 2 consecutive missed cuts, I prepared by playing any course but this one, and just tried to get my tempo back. It worked wonders. Shot -11, -12 to get me to the weekend, then had a tough time in round 3 for a -7. Finished with-11 in round 4 and a total of -41. Should be good enough for a top 10 or so I'm guessing. Jacquesy absolutely annihilated it on the weekend, great shooting 😎

Don't worry about me, I folded like an effin lawn chair after round 1. I'll be in first place if you look at the standings upside down when it's all said and done. Highlight was having a horrible drop spot on hole 3 of round 4 and took a 12. Chuck Flacidcock also putted poorly ta boot. Oh well, was fun while it lasted...see ya next week. Good luck folks

First hole, slow downswing on my approach, missed a birdie by inches. Second hole, left my tee shot way short, missed a birdie by inches. Third hole, fast downswing into the bunker off the tee, fast downswing on my approach, parred. Birdied 4 but my approach shot on 5 ignored the wind and I ended up with another 2-putt par. Tried to play the hill on 6 but was too far left and rolled off the green, missed the birdie chip by inches. Two-putt birdie on 7. Slow downswing on my approach on 8, lipped out a 9 foot par. Bunker off the tee on 9 as the wind did nothing, bunker on my second shot, par. -1 for the front 9.
Drove through the fairway on 10 and the wind didn't do anything to my approach but I made a tough birdie putt. Birdied 11, but missed a long birdie putt on 12. Put my flop on 13 over the green and missed the birdie putt by inches. Birdied 14, fast downswing off the tee into the bunker on 15. Nearly holed it out but ended up with a par. Burned the edge on a 15 foot birdie on 16. Two fast downswings on 17 resulted in another long birdie putt I missed by inches. Badly missed a 44 foot putt for eagle on 18 but made the birdie through the side door to finish at -5 for the first round.
Second round, missed a 14 foot birdie on 1. Made 4 straight birdies, then managed to barely drop in a par putt on 6. Birdie 7 and 8 but sent a chip over the green on 9 and missed the par putt by 9 inches, still ended up 4 shots better for the front 9 than the first round despite higher winds. Tee shot on 10 somehow went from the rough to the bunker back to the rough, but my second shot was close and I birdied. Birdied 11, parred 12, birdied 13, parred 14, then on 15 I sent a 30 foot putt 63 feet way down the fairway off the green and bogeyed. Sent a 25 foot putt 41 feet on 17 and missed the 14 foot par. Parred 17 and birdied 18 to be -12 after 2 rounds. I felt like through 14 holes of the second round I was on track to make the cut, but after those two bogeys I think I'll probably miss out.

-12, -8 for -20 at the midway mark. Tough course, feel like I’ve played pretty well. Would have been easy to get into trouble which I avoided for the most part. Eagled the 18th in R2 on a really dangerous 30 foot big bender straight downhill. I was just trying to get it close and 2 putt for bird; huge bonus. Seems pretty packed at the top, I suspect my -8 will keep me with that pack. Need a good R3 to stay in the conversation for a 3rd straight promo mark.
As for the bending par 4 I’ve put it on the fringe both rounds. The left side is forgiving. As long as you get around the tree, don’t be afraid of too much draw, the hills on the left will kick it back toward the hole. The critical error is not enough draw.

I'm seriously struggling with this course in practice, probably should just play it. I know where I want to put the ball but it seems that the off tempo swings just happen at the worst times and suddenly I'm in a bunker or in the water. Gotta make better decisions when I'm in trouble to limit the strokes lost.
