Recorded a practice run of -14 yesterday so I felt good about going in today. But I couldn't even manage -14 in the first 2 rounds combined, so that's a guaranteed missed cut for me Completely my own fault as I was experimenting with a new upright sitting technique, using my elbow and forearm rather than my hand as the main up-down lever, like some kind of boring robotic chicken, as in my pre-round practice run I found it was giving me perfect tempos. Turned out that practice run must have been pure luck because when I actually fired up the event I was butchering every aspect of my game including tons of pulled putts. I'm like this with IRL golf as well, always tinkering with a new grip, posture, turn timing or swing thought and thinking I've found 'the one weird trick' just because I happened to stripe one shot. Before long it all goes to crap again until I find a new 'trick', then rinse and repeat for permanent mediocrity. On the plus side, I had this very entertaining approach shot on hole 2 in round 1, looked amazing the whole way and thought it was an alby eagle (thanks to lajvol for noticing it couldn't have been my 2nd shot!) for sure, but the green had other ideas:

-7 and -11 for me to open. Should be good enough to make the cut. Had it really going though in R2 at -9 after 8 holes, and then limped home from there...
Thought it was a interesting course, spoilt by some utterly stupid pin positions / slopes - you don't have to have nearly every hole on the top of a mound so that each putt from 10ft has a 5in elevation to the hole... oh that was except the 3/4 holes where there was zero slope at all within 20ft of the hole.

Ever so slightly breezy in R3....... I think I recall a few shots where the wind dial WASN'T completely full... Had one of those rounds where every putt looks like it's going in......but doesn't -4 for -22 total thro 54 holes.

That's showing red tee distance and I can't get anywhere close to there off the Blacks.

No it was from R1 of the event but you're right about the distance, I just went back in with my ghost from that round to check and in fact that was my third shot, not my second, as my first went into the bunker lol, so in fact it was a failed eagle not a failed albatross, video title amended

I did wonder how you had a lofted iron into that hole when I hit hybrid for my 2nd shot in R1.....
-6 to finish in R4 for me - just more frustration at 'nearly golf'
-28 total - I continue in my regular world of 60th place each week...

Another week, another missed cut, another bag of shi#e. Feels like I’m really close to chucking tour altogether with no real desire to play anymore. Bah humbug.

I have not been putting in the practice time and it really has hurt me.. I keep finishing at the bottom each tourney and I am starting to rack up strikes.. I'm not good enough to skip practice and just play my TGCT rounds each week.. There are so many other games I am playing right now and with my full time job and a wife - TGC rounds are hard to come by... I still haven't figured out the last patch but I am much less consistent than I was before the patch.. I wish HB would leave the damn game alone.

More garbage from me...-11 thru 2. Highly doubt that makes the cut. Slowly sinking back to Euro.

How do I know what PGA event I am in? If you've gotten a top 5 in a regular event/WGC or won a minor event this season you are in the TOC. Otherwise, it's the regular PGA event.

-24 through 2. Carded an alb and lipped one out in round 1. I'll leave my last 2 rounds for their normal reveals, but with the big boys out this week it might just be close.
Also, does anyone play that par 5 'right'? I feel I should apologize for hitting a 2 wood off the green but, well, that's kind of the best line

Just played the last 2 rounds on the off-chance enough people screw up even worse than I did in the first 2. Went back to my old sitting position and hand movement and played a lot better despite tougher conditions. The no.1 difference going back to slouching and hand motion only was actually keeping my putts within the cone in those final 2 rounds, my thundercock method brings a world of pain if the putting cone is breached! Medium putts R1 vs R4 went from 85 to 100% and long putts from 8% to 42%. Finished on -32 which would have made me want to slit my wrists before the tournament, but I'm more than happy with that given how I started

Actually played pretty good in my first 2 rounds..especially tore up the front nine both times before flatlining on the back. -18 may be enough to make the cut...which is an accomplishment for me
