-58 for me. Probably going to be a few back when we're done. I felt as though I didn't play particularly great, constantly battling the swing for consistency with my new controller; but ended up with a decent total. I putted well for the most part, but had to fight a weird left loop on the upswing much of the time: some putts took me by surprise that they found the bottom of the cup, considering the visual of the line in the HUD. I should have read the notes because I had no idea that the settings were changed in round four. Certainly cost me a few shots in the last round, I just thought that I was getting a few big bounces Don't know if it's going to be important, but I left my 8 yard chip a couple of inches short, on line on the last. Definitely should have put the GW in the bag this week, had so many shots in the range between the PW and SW that made it awkward at times. Nice shooting through two Bob and Stephen, good luck over the weekend

Don't know if I have the nerves to keep it going for the final 2 rounds though. Seems like the wind is pretty similar in the 3rd, but jumps up in the 4th from what I've heard/read. Going to play the 3rd round tomorrow night and 4th on Saturday. Hopefully can put in at least a half decent performance.

Well, I’m tied with Crawesy and the Blue Git through R3. Nose bleed territory for me, but here goes...
Grab meself a Nelson out of the fridge to calm the nerves, and let’s do this!
Good luck Stephen, Bob... hell everybody else who’s left to play... I really mean that... honestly 😂
🍻🍺🍻

Well, while the course has played particularly easy in R1 and R2, I'm still surprised to be -30 at the turn. I'll inevitably make a load of ridiculous decisions / errors in the closing 2 rounds and crash and burn, but it's always fun to believe that might not be the case!! -14, -16, and as we all have, I've left a couple out there, while getting a couple that I didn't really expect to... Like this one! Christ! You played me ghost! I'm moving up in the world! 😏😏 You’re an unofficial rival Dax!!

R3: -10 through 11 and then the nerves crept in. Ended -12 for the round and sitting tied with the leaders at -46. Putter cooled off compared to the first two rounds, for sure.
Feels like I could be 2 to 4 clear going into the tough R4 conditions, of which I would have preferred some kind of cushion.
Off to do my workout at the gym and relieve some anxiety. We'll see if R4 comes sometime today or not...

Wanted to take a look at my stats through the first 3 rounds in comparison to other events pre-patch, and then against the winners of those events (or 2nd place for 2 of them), just to see if anything stood out. Unfortunately for me, it shows something I'd already suspected, which is that my feel for putting has taken a big hit after the patch. On what have been arguably the easiest greens, my putts per round are higher than in any other event. I'm getting more frame jitter/lag when I putt after the patch, for some reason, and it's definitely having an impact. I mean, look at that longest putt holed average, that's a big drop-off from those other events. Oh well Anyway, I figured a few of you might be interested to see my 2 minute chart. Top table is me, bottom is event winner or 2nd place for the 2 events I've won, and there's 4 entries for this weeks event since it's a 4-way tie at the top. Oh, and the "Birdies" stat is actually birdies or better, which is why they aren't perfectly correlated with scoring, but you get the point.

Well I didn't do so hot for my R4. Started out fine and was -4 through 4 holes. For the next six holes I inexplicably forgot how to swing and judge wind, going +1 with a lowlight bogey on a par 5. Then with the win gone I figured it all out again and went -6 over the last 8 holes. -9 to finish -55. Thinking top 5 with that which is far above my usual pay grade, so all good by me. Just the same I am going to go back to playing earlier in the week where there's less pressure as I know that was why I temporarily lost my nerve at the end of R3 and in the early/mid part of R4. Good luck to those with rounds yet to finish!

Well....normal service has been restored with me!!! To say that 3rd round was a horror show is an understatement!!! Completely 💩 the bed!!
I was -3 thru 4, and picked up a bogie on the 5th which totally shook me! What happened right after that on the 6th?....went off the green to the right with the approach shot. Played a flop and got a VS downswing and the ball came right back down to me. Played the flop again...ANOTHER VS downswing. Long story short, headed onto the 7th taking a triple bogie with me!!😠
That just destroyed any slight chance I had. I did eagle the 9th and 13th with a few birdies as well, but another bogie on 10 also. Finished the round at -5!!!
So -37 thru 3 and back down the leaderboard where I belong!
Note to self before screaming into a pillow....don't play more than 1 practice round!!!

-25 at the cut, and with the conditions for the 3rd and 4th rounds, my goal was to try to get to -40. Didn't get within shouting distance of that thanks to that 3rd round. I carded four 5s on the round. Both par 5s on the front, where I must have been trying to sabotage my round with my choices on the short one. Two par 3s as well. 68 for that and a 67 for the final round, closed out with a bogey after what I believe was the "worst putt I ever hit" on my pretty short par attempt. The whole round I was missing right to left putts low, and it was just a terrible move. It was like I was watching it in slow motion and screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" before I even made contact with the ball.
-34 overall, which is pretty good considering what I'd been doing so far this season, but a bit of a downer after a promising start. Oh well. On to next week!
