What are some of the tips on getting a corse the most exposure when launching? Are there any rookie contest to enter?

Write an interesting little bit about the course.
Create a work-in-progress thread during construction. Add pictures and document your progress.
Post pictures in your completed course thread.
Find other newer designers' courses and offer to do a "I'll play yours, you play mine" and exchange constructive feedback.
Play and comment on courses from established designers.
Just participate often on the forums. People are more likely to play courses if they are familiar with the designer by name.

What are some of the tips on getting a corse the most exposure when launching? Are there any rookie contest to enter? The rookie contest is already in it's second round so it's too late this year to enter. Pictures help a lot as does details about tees, pins and yardage, as they let the players see what kind of course it is. If you are in a society suggest to them about playing it, post on course review posts and hope it gets picked up. Even just get in touch with reviewers, rangers and schedulers and ask them to have a look at it. What I would suggest is don't spam the forums and be patient as you'll find a lot of designers are in the same boat. Probably most important thing is to have a good course and make sure all basic design criteria is met, as certain aspects can put people off playing a course. I myself have struggled to get noticed with some of my courses, but all you can do is plug away and hope it gets picked up.

I don't know how many are like me, but I play every course posted in the completed section, mainly because I know how much work goes into a course.
